Subd, would reconsider buying one from them if they get the tranny gauge figured out

Would without a doubt buy one if it had reliable tranny temps!

I know this is in 2nd Gen, but I would for sure like to know if they would consider working out a solution for trans. temp on the 1st gen trucks as well. Since learning how the old A340 likes to get hot, I definitely want to monitor it, even when not towing (I rarely tow, anyway).

Justus, could you ask them if they would do a group buy soon? I think I'll take the chance and get one, hoping they get the trans temp figured.

As soon as I hear Ultraguage shows transmission temps , I will dump my scan guage and grab a new ultra guage . The scan guage is ugly in comparison to the Ultra guage in my opinion .

Its really not that hard guys..... do a little searching for "custom PID torque pro tacoma transmission temp"

this will give the OBD header values and variable values needed to pull from the ECU to get the trans temp.... literally 2 minutes on the torque pro app and i have Torque converter output and trans pan temps.... all for the price of the OBD bluetooth adapter.... and torque pro downloaded for free.

I think this is about getting trans temp for ultra gauge not trying to get people to switch to torque.

I have the app and don't like it.... Leaving the dongle powered on all the time makes it get hot.... Besides I like my phone to work as....... A phone

Thats not my point.... the headers that torque is referencing are standardized headers on the ECU... using the information that lots of people (including myself) use to get torque to read both trans temp sensors, ultra gauge could do the same.

Also i use a spare old android phone to display torque.

I've already given my rep all the known numbers from scan and torque.... But good looking out

I'm only 2 digits away it seems ...... The rep needs a certain 2 number response back.... When I see it, I think we are in!

I got a steady read of 156.... Like it read the trans temp on startup (already hot from other attempts).... But now I need to get it to read current temps and cycle).... Kinda looking like its in a "trip" mode.

I've had the Scangauge and torque app for a couple yrs now working with trans temps..... But I figured for the price and sheer number of parameters and ease of use, many of you would appreciate the new found ultra gauge trans temps if I could do this.

Help me out if ya can..... I'm not working due to injury but I can do some good for all of us with my time.

Just bought a brand new UG from classifieds and love it!! I would def be interested in getting trans temp for it. Also is there a place I can compare my readings to? Just would like to know what the "normal " range of some things are.
