I squeezed them with channel locks from the wheel well size. Popped right out and popped back in just fine.

I drove it about 25 miles for the first time in over a month. It seams to be running better and it has enough power to get its own way:woot:

Okay I need some help. I've noticed that every time it rains my truck smells like dirty water. I found that after removing the floor mats, the passenger carpet gets wet. I looked under the truck and found a rubber grommet under the seat that wasn't seated properly, so I fixed it and crossed my fingers. It didn't fix my problem. Any time I drive in the rain with that grommet seated properly, my passenger foot well carpet still gets wet. I know its coming from the bottom because the top of the floor mat will remain dry. Any ideas? I currently park in the garage with the doors open to air it out.....I can't take it anymore!

Have you messed with the pinch weld? Larger tires that rub in that area?

Have not messed with anything at all. Which is why I have no leads on where else the water could be coming from

lift the driver side up front with a jack, pour water on the passenger floor and see where it leaks.

Pull the plastic stuff and carpet up so it does not get any more damaged before hand.

yeah all of them except 4 blue ones rotate and remove easy. The ones I'm talking about don't come out even if you can rotate them. After dropping my channel locks, and scratching up my fender, I got fed up and drilled them out with a small drill bit. It worked but oh, was I pissed.

There is actually a TSB on that.

Let me know if that link doesn't work. I don't know how reattach non-photo attachments in my "attachments" section of the user CP

I had a similar issue in my old Cherokee and it turned out to be the lower passenger side windshield leaking and running down the inside of the firewall. Prolly should have had a new one put it but just put a bunch of pookey on it and it quit leaking.

    Yeah, me.
Same problem with water coming in and soaking the passenger floor.
I didn't take it in to get fixed but I followed the TSB and fixed it myself.

I pulled the carpet back and ran the garden hose all over the cowl area to verify that was the leak.

Oh! Haha good deal. How much do you estimate the dealership would charge to do that?
