:pccoffee: Maybe I should get my head out of this forum and RTFM.

We ran our Jeep in 4WD any time road conditions were not ideal (rain, snow) and that went 15 years and 180K miles with no drivetrain issues at all. So that's been my habit for a long time. But then the Jeep had a "part time" 4WD setting that didn't lock up F/R as much as it did in "full time"; you could still get it to bind on really sharp low speed turns though.

Yes still on OEM Dunlops. I assumed they were of the same fine quality as the infamous RE92's that came on my Subie, so I am not surprised by the comments about them here.

The OEM "Dunflops" are apparently pretty bad for wet traction. Never had them on my truck as the Dealer I bought it from (3 yrs old with 23K on the odo) replaced them with GY Wrangler SRAs which were decent but I replaced with LT AT Pro Grade Silent Armors as Summer tires. I had Dunlops on an Accord about 7 yrs ago; they sucked so bad in rain that I dumped them with only 15K miles.

    Good morning all.

I'll have to read the BRICS article later. We're having network issues at work tonight and the link didn't want to go through for me.

    Hope all are well.

    Morning all:
Only time will tell! By the looks of what's going on, I would have to say that what's currently going on is unsustainable. :notsure:
I don't really expect too much from "lawmakers" who don't even understand what ILLEGAL means!

We are all familiar with what's going on at the border. Wonder what would happen if boatloads of children started coming here from Africa and the Middle East, to escape what's going on over there?
    Just a thought!!!!!

I would expect this and other agreements between China and Russia to accelerate the demise of the US dollar. I would expect the dollar, currently at .8 to decline to .4 over the next few years. Therefore, we can expect prices to double in dollar terms.
Gold and silver should be great hedges to save your purchasing power and perhaps make some extra dollars. I currently like silver since the gold to silver ratio is so high (62.55). It should be around 30-40 therefore silver should appreciate faster than gold. Once it catches up convert to gold.

    Afternoon all:
:woot: Feel like I just hit the lottery!
My coal guy just called; $7.00 off per ton for early delivery, plus $5.00 a ton cheaper than last year.
    $12.00 a ton cheaper X 4 tons = $48.00 in my pocket.
About the only darn thing that went down in price though!

Come to think of it, when I first started burning coal it was $85 a ton, now $206 a ton with the discount. :(

    Good evening gentlemen (and Susan),

Still lurking but been real busy getting the glider ready for sale. LOTS of inquiries which means LOTS of time on the computer/phone answering questions. I hate this part of the process. One of the folks is actually a TW member! That was interesting to hear.

I still agree with 97% of the issues you guys discuss. Charlie, please take it easy. Please!

    Tex

    Morning all
The jeep is finally naked. No top, no doors.
Parts are here from England for the trans. Should be back together by next week.

Part time trucks should never be run in 4wd turning on dry or rain pavement.
Can you. Yes. But not the best for it. Not enough slippage.
No problems with dunlops here on wet pavement.
Keep your right foot off the floorboard and you take off fine. :ohsnap:

    Long work week.
    Asshole customers.
    No respect.
MMMMMMMM a normal work week. :)

    Stay safe

I did take it easy yesterday, had to see 3 doctors. another today, 2 more wed. other wise work as normal, took in a few easy but long jobs. a vintage a/c install into a 56 belair. wrong condenser kit, they sent a stock one for a car with a big griffin alloy cross flow. wrong brackets for the compressor, the motor is a chevy racing ZZ4 350 not a 265, and they even were giving the correct information, wait on the correct items till next week. the 62 impala is waiting on the trans parts to arrive today, i'll build the unit tonight . new drive shaft should be here by Tuesday from alldriveline.com in ca.

read the posts on mpg's, you were all lucky my taco never got better then 14.2 highway, tires the stock BFG's on rained roads meant grabbing the 4 x4 switch to start from as top going up hills, other wise it just sat there spinning them, the change to the copper at3's was night and day. yes more noise but what a road grab, even better in snow then the stock bfg's .thankful the fords diesel give's me a nice 18 mpg city 21 highway unloaded and back to 18 towing the boat. think the 2016 ford ranger when it comes out in the spring will give Toyota a push, right from the get go diesel power in a mid sized truck with good looks.

    mike
that reason is why I never liked being a dealer sm or adviser dealing with this germination of kids who never should have been conceived to start with . lease the car but not want to pay for service.( i'm only renting it, fixing and maintain is your problem) meaning I should get everything done for free

other wise a easy long week end. going to drag the boat south later tonight and head out fishing in the am

    Hi Charlie.

Are you seeing all these Docs looking for a replacement? If so, hope you find a good one that'll keep you close to home and out of that last place.

Good luck fishing ... hope the weather cooperates.

    Take care man!

just was reading fox news, looking more like a Russian made missile shot down that plane yesterday. 2 planes from the same air line. they might as well close up their doors now.

will they ever find the other, very doubtful

no not yet, yesterday 1 was for a mri of my neck, number 2 a ent to do some tests. he found problems in my neck with a greatly reduced esophagus form either the plate or a major bone growth on the front of my spine. number 3 was the old man problem we all get, bend over say ahhh! ouch easy doc!!
today is to see the nuro for a emg on my neck and lower back study, wed is to see the docs to about this high bp problem .week after is set to find a new set of doctors closer to home and out of the atlantic health care system BS . had to call them yesterday to make a appointment for a swallow test, was on hold for 35 mins.

hope the fishing clams the nerves, sadly i'll have to spend big on marina diesel again, won't tow with a full tank holding 172 gals that means about 10.000 pounds of load and tolls are bad enough for what the nj parkway deams 6 axles as the ford is a dually and the boat sits on a tri axle

 Way too much doc time in one week. Hope the BP gets under control.

Seems like every where you turn in NJ the man's taking your money.

But yeah, get out there fishing ... might be the best medicine for you. ;)

    Stay safe and enjoy! :)
