    Aren't pull ups for strength not cardio. and I'm pretty sure you will hurt yourself doing those.

    Exactly. I guess everyone's got different goals. My goals are to have as much muscle mass as possible with as little body fat as possible. If I can attain my goals by doing traditional exercises, I'm going to, rather than doing a bunch of high-intensity stuff that isn't conducive to muscle-building. Now before you Crossfit fanboys have a stroke, I'm not saying you can't gain muscle doing Crossfit. I'm saying that the MOST conducive way to gain muscle (for myself and most others) is by doing hypertrophy exercises; this is why professional bodybuilders don't do Crossfit.

    For me, point A is where I'm at now and point B is where I want to be and I'm going to take the path to get there that is easiest and has a lower chance of damaging my body in the process. The likelihood of me getting hurt in a traditional gym atmosphere is much lower than if I were to do Crossfit. Again, I'm not saying Crossfit is dangerous, but the potential risk factor is higher when doing Crossfit, compared to traditional lifting because the movements are so complex. I'd much rather do simple movements that target specific muscle groups to grow.

    I can do both and a slow contracting pull up is harder than doing butterfly pull ups IMO

    Perfect and accurate. I dont care if people dont do crossfit, but when people begin to talk shit on it in completly non accurate ways thats when i find it annoying. Opinions like this i totaly can respect
