What is this part? Not too worried about it but would like to know what is it since it has been leaking and dripping around the cat

What fluid does it seem to be? I don't know much about 1st gens, but could it be the A/C drain?

I'm guessing, and I'm sure a 1st gen owner could confirm, but that's my guess. With its location.

Does it seem like its just water coming out when it is dripping?

    It's the a/c drain.

hence some of the frame recall issues, that drips relatively close to the frame and had a habit of sitting water :(
