I don't think he drove it like that. Even the cowl and wipers were missing. Basically he entire interor and the whole body harness. I guess it could still run if it was a carborated engine, but everything except the steering wheel and shifter was missing from the inside. And I don't know that they have cameras specifically covering the commuter lot :/
I didn't notice, but I didn't stay long cause I was picking up my parents.

It did still have he headlights, but no more tail lights. First 15 of oarking is free if you like swing by it and look.

When I called the Toyota HQ number to file a complant about being charged for my oil change this is what they said. Toyota care is seporate for mainland and Hawaii. However the warranty is good as long as you are in the US. If the servco dealer gives you a problem call big Toyota.

If i didn't have my reunion later tomorrow I would definitely just do a small BBQ.. not a ton of parking right at my house, but people could always park down the street just a bit away..

May postpone my AALs for a bit.. my hip is bothering me so we will see how the vicodin works out.. Either way, I'll probably just plan a day to grill up some burgers, and what not.. but if that's the case, would either be on a Sunday or mid Aug..

If someone wants to come up and do the install for this lame duck, I'll grab the rib eyes tomorrow morning.. lol..

Hey all. New tacoma owner. I'm wanting to do a 3" lift and I was wondering if that voids the warranty and how does it affect safety inspections?

    Any help much appreciated! Thanks.

Welcome to Tacoma world:D 3" lift should not void your warranty. Toyota has to prove that lift kit actually caused the problem. If you do 3" lift you would need to get recon sticker. Good luck and I would stay away from this forum if not you will be broke like the rest of us.

From Maui, you guys don't have recon? So you should be fine with safety check. Just make sure your tires don't stick past the fender too much. Height should be good

Hah! Too late. Already got the bug and I've only paid my first month.

Not that I know of. Yeah, don't plan on getting huge ones. Prob just more aggressive looking tires. Itching for the lift first.

    Anyways. Mahalos for the help!

Then you'll have no problem passing safety. And your warranty should be fine

I think i was your wake up call Mike.. lol..

thanks to Mike for the early morning 911 call and directing me where the hell that AAL went.. finished up, cleaned up, and took my nap..

for everyone else doing a Dakar AAL with experience of doing a regular AAL. The Dakar actually goes in the middle of the pack vs. On the bottom of the pack.

Gotta wait for it to settle, then decide on maxtrax 4" spindles.. lol.

cause even though i am 3" in front.. i got rake..

EDIT.. For all your machinist types.. How much engagement of the bolt is enough or not enough??

When I went down to grab my AAL, I also picked up some new U-Bolts. The ones (our favorite place) sold me was the OME AALs for a 05+ tacoma.. I though all was well as even with the addition of the AAL, OME planned enough room to still make their military wraps useful. Figured OME thought about this one too..

When I went to button everything up, the actual U-bolt nut is only engaged 1/2 way through the bolt.. Not enough room to have the threads fully into the bolt or even extended through the bolt.. Safe, or should I just order my flip-kit soon?? FYI.. the bolt is like 1" long..
