Bought my truck back in 2010 and here is one of the only shots I have of it stock, doing some work early on in life.


My first TW meet. From left to right (John - StandingCow, Colin - Motoxerc0, Craig - HomerTaco, Me, Boyd aka DYOB aka sKip - XXXX)



My first mod was DT long tube headers


Then came the front suspension


Sawzall taken to the truck for the first but certainly not last time


along with Dakars for the rear


Here she is lifted at 3"


Added SS brake lines


Plasti dip the chrome front grille along with some SWB angry eyes, front end v1


Also plasti dipped the rear bumper and all the badges


Then I got some new wheels and tires


I installed some 6k HID cheapos and removed them after realizing they blind the hell out of people, also installed some andres devil horns, front end v2


The firestone DBs bent my alignment tabs so I got the TC gussets put on to fix that up


Around that time I got the ATO full set of skids installed (thanks to JLink bringing them up from VA for me!)


Added some inverter outlets to the back of the center console


Installed some CBI bolt on sliders as well, these things are great can't speak enough of the work those guys do!


Mawl Crawling on HomerTaco's turf


Front end v3, some SWB devil horns and a color matched grill along with the BHLM


Safari snorkel also added


Busted out my rear window wheeling with sKip one weekend


Those new windows are expensive and not too fun to install


Then it was time for a regear, 4.56s F/R from ECGS






Added an ARB dual compresssor in the engine bay


Wired up a 6 switch bank from OTRATTW to the sunglasses holder, lots of wires jammed up there!




After a long wait, Relentless front bumper and warn winch installed


Relocated the solenoid to under the hood


Relentless HC bumper installed, thanks to HomerTaco and XXXX








Electrical upgrades added with a fuse box and breaker from blue sea


Added a 1" bodylift in there


Then drove down to NC to visit EL TACOROJO and wrmathis to install my crawlbox. Big shout out to Burry and Mrs. Burry for the hospitality and assistance in installing this junk! And thanks to Mathis for being a jerk

Added dual batteries and the control switch into the lower part of the center console




Made up my ADD switch for the 4wd since swapping to the FJ tcase





Made a bed rack


Made a small stand for my ARB fridge in the back seat


Reinforced my skid plates to keep from bending


Installed a shackle flip








At some point I got the HomerTaco Raptor grill


Rebuilt the entire front end (coil bucket gussets, LCA bushings, UCA uniballs, spindle gussets)










Got a CVT Mt. Bachelor for the bed rack


Swamped it and have had plenty of adventures along the way








Installed some ATO tube doors, these things are great!


Relocated my shocks inside the frame rails with some 12" stroke kings


Got some 36" super swamper TSLs


Added the Flyzeye interior lighting kit I won at Big Dogs offroad raffle


Installed BeeRad hood lighting kit, thing is damn sweet


PA radio stuffed under the hood mounted to the power steering resi

Here is what I worked on this past weekend. Found my bumper was kind of loose so I just figured the bolts had worked their way out a bit. I haven't had the bumper off since the initial install over 2 years ago. I removed the front bumper to regrease the winch and found that the mounts were cracked and my front bumper was probably ready to fall off pretty soon





I am not sure if they cracked from the vibrations or some heavy winching but I wasn't going to remount the bumper before they were right.

Ditched the crappy Toyota studs they supply


Repaired the cracked welds and cleaned the mounts up


Drilled out the holes to accept 1/2" grade 8 hardware, added a 1/4 plate in front.


On the back side I added 1/4" angle iron drilled out to the template of the outer frame mounts, had to cut the front body mount a little bit, it gets tied back in once I'm finished


The inner frame mounts get 1/4" angle iron as well bolting through an exiting hole in the frame


I drilled two new holes in the bumper right where the winch area sits

Burned into the frame




Front plate tied into the frame and front body mount


Cut this body mount a bit too high so I added a peice of plate back in


Painted up


Inner frame rail gusset painted up




Outer reinforcement burned in and painted


The bumper feels 1000x sturdier than before and I added 4 additional mounting points for a total of 14 and the front mounting points on the frame are now 1/2" thick instead of the 12 gauge steel they provide from the factory. Should be good to go now
