You can get a 3 position switch (on-off-on with reverse), with a relay, wire into the reverse circuit with a diode, that diode keeps your reverse lights from coming on when your lights are on, and keeps the R lights off on the dash when your switch is on the "on" position, then just wire up the switch as normal with a 12 volt source either on with ignition or always on. I don't have a diagram but I think a few on here have done it. Hope that helps.

I already have my OTRATTW switch, and its a normal SPST rocker. This couldn't be used then? I don't mind having to hit the rocker whenever I reverse, I was just curious if you could do this easily.

I think you can, I'm by no means very well versed in this but if you get a relay then put pin 86 to a diode to reverse circuit, pin 87 to aux lights, pin 85 to ground, pin 30 to fuse to battery. Switch goes to pin 86 and then a 12v source either ignition or battery

I used a SPDT switch to wire mine up like that. 3 position switch that is on with reverse lights, off all together, or on all the time. With a SPST switch I don't think you can do it though but let me think about it.

Edit: Wrote down how I did mine and showed it would be relatively simple to do it with a SPST switch. My setup on the left (SPDT center off switch) and a SPST switch shown on the right. No diode needed as the OTRATTW switches are break before make. If your reverse lights have a large current draw, you could wire the output to a relay coil and power the lights seperately

Thanks for the help, although I will have to show this to the local member who's going to help me with the install considering I have the wiring skill of a box of rocks.

So, since the rocker only has an "off" and "on," how would that work with turning the lights on when the truck is not in reverse?

You would have to have a 3 position switch, correct? i.e. Off, (not on, not in reverse) on, (lights on, not in reverse) and on (lights on, in reverse)?

You coulda just asked me about wiring lol but I think you're getting there. Not doable with a rocker like you have. At least not to my knowledge.

    :)

I literally just saw this link as I checked my build. I have no idea what I'm looking at with wiring diagrams, but this makes it seem like it is possibly with a SPST?

It sure looks that way! I have not personally done it that route, but it looks like it works.

I tried to watch it but it's basically Russian to me  so I will have to seek the advice of the local member who will be "helping" install it for me to see what we can do.

    Thank you though :)
