Did the pinch weld mod "aggressively". The drive side rubs a little most of the time while turning left unless the suspension is extended from bodyroll or a dip, and the passengerside mostly only rubs at full lock to the left at the windshield washer tank popout in the inside wheel well.

The passengerside clears the fender/firewall by a knats-ass at full lock & full stuff; gunna try to figure out the difference...

I feel like I would be in a lot better shape though if I got 4 1/4" backspacing instead of 3 1/2"

    Thanks!

But I haven't really made it happen yet.

i could be a little crazy but am mostly a physics geek; been lurking the forums for a long while figuring out what I want & how to do it.

This wheelset is only about 10 lbs over stock (60 to 70lbs on my scale); I drive easy but thought i was driving harder but only lost 5% in mpg with them: 21.5 to 20.5

It is only based on a 1/2 tank of consuption; so not strong data yet so it may not be representative; but check out my post on the duratrac thread if you want more info on the wheelset.

Hope I can make on the 3rd; it would be later in the day.

I am really excited to see what these can do off-road aired down.

ahh I see. I would wait till you get the lift on before slapping the 33's on....otherwise you might start tearing shit off. fender flares, mud flaps, etc

Yeah, thanks for the heads up; i definitely can't do any kind of even mild off-roading with it like this... But still am excited about it though

It not my DD anymore but if it were I would also be more concerned about just driving around town; turn going over a speed bump or driveway fast and there go the flares. I plan not to drive it much at all until I finish dealing with it.

Will get some pics up; maybe tonight.

I'm thinking the ome lift kit from toytec with 2 or 3" lift up front with 881s, and Dakars w/ extra leaf.

I like my shell but its like ~ 200lbs or something, & want to relocate spare tire to the rear with a offroad bumper and put a extra gas tank there (don't know if I would make the extra tank happen; so cool though). I also pack on the heavy side, so figure I really need the extra leaf; looking at all-pro leafs too though.

Either going to have the stock skids bedlinered and add a belly pan to it or go with aftermarket armor the whole way; haven't figured that out yet. I will do sliders but like the idea of being able to take them off without a torch so thinking bolt-on even though it is more work, but I could do the install myself...

I really don't like the tube bumper look on the front (sorry) but don't like how heavy the plate bumpers are; so I guess we'll see what I do. Stock is no good though; it's just going to get damaged if I leave it.

Wanna do a removable winch for the front & back, and then it not exposed to the salty air out here & then I'm not hauling it around all the time; like the idea, may not like the reality. Gunna find out :D

That's all that I can think of I wanna do that would affect which suspension to get... Any thoughts?

That sounds spot on man! You got a good game plan sir!

As far as skids go, I love having a full belly pan and having the peace of mind knowing that Im safe from rocks for the most part. Cant go wrong with skids

I feel ya on the bumpers. I love how plate looks, but its damn heavy! And alot more $$$$....lol

Well I don't have any tools to do suspension swap so I may just pay to get it installed. Can anyone recommend a place? 4wheel parts is too busy to install..

So are you setting it up to have the swaybar only disconnected while offroading, or removing it altogether...?
