I got pictures of it in my gallery and in tacodane's bed light thread. There's a thread that has a little wiring diagram that points out the wire in the driver's kick panel.

No sliders in the near future. Front and rear bumper...then that...:D

    :D:D

Let's shoot for this Saturday as long as Iven and Mike aren't working?? then Sunday if that's the case... I got the Hoegaarden..:D

Here's a few pics of Defcon's mount points. Looks like the center lights are mounted to the outside of the slider frame plate. Till I get the sliders...I can just put it on the frame and move it afterwards..

Defcon was nice enough to post these for me. He is a Marine, so it's a brotherhood thing:cool:

Without me going outside to my truck...do the dome lights come on when unlocking the truck? or after the door is opened?

Been wanting to do this for a long time. I had a roll of LEDs but gave them away. Now I have two rolls :D
All my int lights are LED, so tapping them to power both rolls of LED strip lights should be no problem. No need relay. I checked the LED strips with my Eagletree FDR, and they both pull 0.8A each.

After hearing thoughts on the power...I'm just wondering if the Lights will draw too much from the dome??

    Watts: 24
    Amp Draw: 1.8A
    LED's: 18

Mike's the wiring genius/god. But...after Iven's is in...should be a cake walk with all the LED time spent lately. I just don't have the F'ing tools for the wiring, but now I see how it's done. I'm the student for now...:D Straight wiring from the fuse box to the rear or hood is rather simple from the looks of it. Don't ask me about tapping into switches or fuse panel in the front!! That's for Mike and Nate...

Don't worry about it. It's just as easy to wire then to a relay as it is to wire then direct. I bet mike was planing on using a relay anyway :D

I'm not positive but I think that 1.8a is for the set right? Each light is something like .3a? You are probably safe to add 1 or 2a max to the factory system since it would only draw power from the dome lights when you unlock the truck. But a relay fixes any and all current problems.

thats my worry with with my led bars. was gonna splice them in with my corners but don't think theyd handle, even if they're just little 6" ones

so wire to the relay so i can leech off of you learning how too. hahaha

yeah, I still got like 9 of those gb relays left, and another 4-5 of the radioshack/hella/rigid ones hehe..

think it'll work to wire the toggle with a positive switch like I have been doing it, then use the diode on the dome light +, keep everything nice and tucked behind the dash except for the 2 lights running out of the cab. tying all this into the fuse block will suck.

it's not rocket science, aren't you an engineer too? :p

My leds are wired off of that switched ground in the driver's kick panel. It's easy to get to. Dims off with the dome.

I think I still have 13 of those relays left lol. But I'm sure I'll use them eventually.
