    Have you ever worked with any helicopter-linemen that work on the lines while reaching out from a hovering helicopter? I saw that on Discovery. Craziness!!

    i have watched a guy do that. he climbed out of the coptor onto the 100,000 volt line and went to workin he just climbed down the line.. it was crazy.. i told him he had bigger balls than me.. the highest up a pole i have ever been was a 120' on a pair of climbing hooks.. that is a long ways up and i didnt want to climb back down..

    My brother is a lineman for PG&E in Northern CA. High risk job but it pays well. A guy he worked with recently commited suicide on the yard. He took his bucket up to the power lines and grabbed on. He lived for about 1 week after. They amputated both his arms but eventually he was taken off of life support and died.

    That's my specialty too! Quite a secure job working with the user, because there is always one that will want more and manage to screw it up beyond normal repair.

    Work on a large commercial farming operation. Not a bad gig, our harvest spans pretty much the whole summer, but I make up for that by taking quite a few ski days in the winter :)
