Awesome, camping?

 

Fortune Creek/Gallagher Head Lake Trail run list. Stock jeeps can run this trail so you do not need a lift to come, I am on stock suspension for now.


Where: Cle Elum, Gallagher Head Lake Trail
Meet up: North Bend chevron station 9AM, exit 31 off of i-90 east
Time: 9AM
Trail Comms: I have Ham radio, CB, and small hand helds.

Equipment to bring: Essential Camping gear, water, food, tow strap (shouldn't need it but still good to have) tow points, air source, tools, some kind of radio listed above if you have one, camping chair, fire starter and possibly wood. I know im forgetting some but Ill add to it as I remember.

Do you think that this is legal since the burn bans? My dad says yes but I have heard no. My understanding was that burn bans are to prevent open flame fires. Since this isn't open flame it may be legal.

 

Yep if we go, I'll be camping. Going to get the CVT on top of the truck tomorrow.

 

We were up over 6300ft around Table Mountain a couple weeks back with no snow to be found. Should be ok.

We're in full fire ban up here right now where campfires are normally permitted

 

I read that you can have a COOKING fire pit of 3x2 feet that is okay'd by the fire department. Not sure if you have to take it physically to them and ask permission but thats what the website said.

I'm thinking it will be the Cle Elum Ranger District that will be the enforcer. Not the North Bend Ranger.

I will be using mine for the first time sometime this weekend.

On a side note, I talked to my wife about the trip yall are planning. She said she wouldn't mind doing it if it wasn't the first time using the tent. She wants to go on a private camp out to have sex for the first time in the tent lol

 

haha what ever floats your boat.. Not sure how stable that would be on top of your truck. Could always leave the wife at home and say that you want to test it out on your own so that when she tries it you have already worked out the kinks?

 

Yeah I'm gonna break mine in easy and just whack off in mine.

 

See, I think that's just it. She would be too embarrassed to have the truck rocking with a whole bunch of people around. That is why we need to break it in on a private trip and then we will be ready to go wheeling/camping with a group.

 

Well I suppose that'll give the anti condensation mat a workout as well.
