I just got my CRC notice today in Ontario Canada. I haven't looked for "holes" yet, but my frame definitely needs attention!

I just got my inspection notice today and in it they say "if I'd already paid $ to fix this, they would re-imburse me".....

When I bought my truck, I drove it directly Northland Auto Care, here in Huntsville Ont..... I had the truck treated and have been re-doing it every 18 months (Cuz I know it works)... I've done that for 5 or 6 vehicles and it DOES work...!!!

My question to the dealer when I take it in is this......

"OK, Toyota says they would pay me if I had to pay to fix the crappy frame I bought in 2006.... My frame is in great shape (I believe), due to ME applying Corrosion Free every 18 months since 2006... (6 times)... I'll let you guys do your check of the frame and if you determine that it needs your CRC, that might F-up my warranty with Corrosion Free?... If it does, will you give me the same warranty as Corrosion Free?....".. If not, let me talk to them first...Do not apply anything..OK..?

If they determine the frame is "questionable" and needs the CRC... does the warranty on that last till the frame rots and needs replacement? OR does all their generosity end March 2016, like the note says.????

The bottom line is this.... I kept the frame from rusting at MY expense..!

Are they willing to cover my costs?.... That would be OK with me.....!!

    Interesting situation, EH..??

I just received my reimbursement from Toyota yesterday. If you are going to try and get reimbursed from them, you need to follow their instructions to the T!

When I originally sent in my paperwork, they sent a letter a couple of weeks later saying that they needed another document, which was a detailed diagnosis of what the shop did to my truck (it was for FRAME RUST of course!). When I sent in that document, a few days later, we got the check in the mail :D!

I will also say, I would not want to have Toyota's CRC coating put on over the coating you have previously put on the frame. You never know if they won't mix well.
Good luck on what you choose to do.

They've either fixed it by then, or it's now a waiting game for you.
    Good luck!

Good advice Nick... thank you!! I'll be VERY cautious and will not let them touch my truck unless "I" know what they are going to do...

    Thanx again man...

Got my letter in the mail yesterday. Contacted the service department at my local dealer this morning to schedule an appointment and was told the kits required to perform this service are on backorder and that I should try calling them back in a week or two to try and set up an appointment then. Great service so far

Well my 05 w/ 199k has a hole next to the drivers side cat. That shouldn't be there along with some pretty bad corrosion. Sigh....I knew this would happen. I'd rather a buy avi than a new frame :/

Can't post pics from my phone

Bring it into a Toyota Dealer and let them inspect it. If it has a hole the frame will be replaced at no cost to you..
