Christ. That's a laundry. Mine is a broom closet. I want to push out that end of the house, maybe push a fridge alcove into the space to gain more counter/cabinet space in the kitchen, have a well-planned laundry with big-ass cabinets/mud room setup that can handle heavy traffic into the back yeard/patio from the kitchen, better entry to basement. And I want a pony.

What do you mean by remote? Are they inside the cabinets above?

Now I have to post my home-made "dryer box: not an inch to spare model"

You see the flush mounted plywood box with the bibs and the drain ? Then about 16" above that there are 2 stub outs ?

The stub outs are a remote shut off for the hot and cold water , the hoses from the washer connect to the regular bibs behind the machine and the remote shut off handles are accessible above the machine

Yeah I couldn't see what that was too well. So just cleaner-looking, higher valves that are easy to access up above the back of the machines?

    Yep

You're supposed to turn off the supply to the washing machine between uses although not many people bother to do it

LOL yeah wut. The things we are supposed to do....

I thought about one of those automatic shutoffs that senses a sudden drop in pressure. But I could barely connect shit in there as it was. In an ideal world, that whole back area of the house will be remodeled and expanded, so I am not going to sweat details like that for now.

:anonymous: I do and my sister used to laugh at me :( Started doing it when the neighbors washer hose sprung a leak and flooded part of their house.... Although, I do need new carpet and the machine hoses are 17 years old
