Deer seem to be borderline retarded. You can stop, flash the lights & honk the horn.......and they can run straight at you. I've been hit by 4 in the past 8 years......only hit 1....the other 3 ran into my side. Wouldn't bother me if they followed the path of the dinosaurs.

From what I understand, its better they are left alone. As long as they are mobile, and are otherwise healthy,then its better left alone. The stress from being caught is worse for them.

 

I had to off one that I hit in my old truck , it was pinned under my truck and I could feel it kicking the floor before I got out

 

I hit it about 100' from a guy's house I know and I didn't have anything with me so I had to go knock on his door in the dark and borrow a hunting knife

 

what in the absolute fuck

My favorite place in cal is big tuna. Whenever I'm down in the desert I try to go to the all you can eat lunch.

 

Had one get hit by a bunch of idiots here. Instead of killing it they kept stabbing it with a pocket knife repeatedly. I ran them off and called the sheriff's department and they came out and "humanly" disposed of it. The office asked me if wouldn't mind driving up about 50 yards and blocking traffic my way and another car did the same the opposite way. I heard the gun shot when I stepped out of my car and about 10 minutes later the officer drove up to me and thanked me for calling and left.

 

It's a pretty sweet place, I think you'll fall in love again. Oh, and I need to pick your brain again about some local spots!
