I did the Calgary to Nova Scotia drive last spring and cut through the States. Saved a little on gas and hotels/food for sure. Did it solo and it was alight, I went off the beaten path and along the Great Lakes, which was a nice drive (except almost everything there is bankrupt and boarded up). Weather would be way better this time of year (I caught some snow/ice storms and got stuck in Fargo for a day).

I'd rather do the drive in a car though. Actually, I'd rather just freaking fly.

Haha It's the first option google maps give too. Apparently google thinks driving is crazy

    Ha!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind driving, but there is a whole lotta nothing between Calgary and Nova Scotia.

Oh, I remember. I don't look forward to it but it is what it is. 3 days driving is worth it to have all my gear with me.

Damn, I took a solid 5 days last spring; although getting snowed into Fargo for a day didn't help. Also, spending that day consuming all the Craft Beer I could get my hands on may have delayed my departure the next morning a bit...

Me and a buddy drove back last time in the summer. 53 hours door-door. Only shut off the Tacoma to put fuel in it.
Thought I was being generous at a few days

New member to the forum, but have been a lurker for a while now. I'm from Cape Breton but just moved out to Red Deer about a month ago. I decided to go check out Cochrane Toyota and ended up 2 weeks later coming home with a new truck.
I use to follow FUSE's build way back when on a local forum of eastern canada LowMotion, that truck is the main reason I started looking into tacomas and then I found this site.
I initially wanted a Blue Ribbon Metallic access cab in a manual but when i started looking at the dealer I fell in love with the double cab TRD sport premium.
Anyways heres the truck. Just has a 3inch Toytec lift with the famous Bilstein 5100's and a set of the TRD bronze wheels.

I'm hoping to meet up someday with a few of the people from the forum in the area!

You need to find Kevin in Red Deer. You may have seen his Tacoma rolling around.

I moved out here for work, I'm a Field Specialist with a well service company.

Would he be the silver access cab with method NV's, snorkel, and plate bumpers? If so I seen that going one evening.

No way! Didn't even know I had that much influence haha. Too bad old LowMotion went the way of the dinosaur. Its a ghost town; I haven't even bothered posting in ages.

Your truck looks great though! Very well done.

Cochrane Toyota. Total chaos is a top of the line kit. Don't bother with allpro.
