Back again:

Washed and waxed the Tacoma earlier today, and they want tonight. Oh well, at least I get to look at the rain bead up on the fresh wax job.

 

What wax did you use Carl?

 

I just got this, I washed & clay bared the truck waxed the hood And it started raining. oh well

I lol'd. My wife tells a story about her first multi-day bike trip. She was riding with a bunch of folks who do what I call "credit card touring", meaning they travel light and stay in motels, rather than pack everything on with them. She also had ridden quite a bit with these folks on day rides and knew they liked a brisk pace. She nevertheless managed to fill two panniers (bicycle saddlebags) with stuff like hairdryer, several outfits, multiple pairs of shoes, you get the idea. The other folks showed up with just a handlebar bag and seat pack, and pretty much left her in the dust. Two days into the ride she UPS'd the panniers back home!

 

One of the best over the counter waxes you can buy. The wax should last you into September.

I picked up a used set of Wet Okole seat covers from a forum member. Installed them Sunday, did my long commute yesterday. Suddenly I find my head an inch closer to the ceiling...

I can see why they are so popular on this forum. I like them. They appear to be very well made and the materials are sturdy. They add a bit of comfort too. The seatback angle lever is a tad harder to operate but that is an extremely minor nit. As nice as they are though, I'm glad I found a used set; I don't think I would be able to justify paying full retail. That's probably because I live in Berks County, land of the cheapskates.

Evening All...Hey wdb, bought a new set of Okoles in 2007 and even though they are a bit dirty, they are wearing like iron...I need to take them off and give them a bath...they have been through a lot in 7 years

 

Hi Ken.

I've had my Okoles a little over 3 yrs, and feel the same. Definitely worth the money. I keep telling myself I need to take them off and clean them proper, but I just keeping brushing off the dog hair, letting the dog mud tracks dry and brushing them off too.

 

I am having problems with my set of Wet Okoles. Ripping at one seam and the armrest cover is starting to have a hole in it.

 

Hi Tom, did you contact Okole about the seam to see if they will do anything? ...I didn't get the armrest(console) cover.
