I want to put ss lines in, but due to the dryer duct it's a pain in the rear end to move the washer and dryer, so until I have to move them, it's not gonna happen :anonymous: Water is turned off unless the washer is on and it's only on when I'm home, so, I'm going to wait until I have an issue.

i guess this is sort of a home improvement. almost finished with it. i picked up a used wine barrel for my fiance's birthday to make here a wine bottle holder. all i have left to figure out is how to make the part that will actually hold the wine bottles in the bottom of the barrel.

still need to clean up the metal bands a bit. this has a couple coats of clear to keep the inside that stained wine color, and 2 coats of cherry stain on the outside. i hope to have the wine glass holder mounted after work today. Once i finally have it all together, i plan to mount a small section of rope light around the top on the inside to provide some light inside the barrel. should look pretty cool!

I have a dilemma - Below is a pic of my house. I need to replace the fascia boards on it and I'm not really sure how to reach them. The only way I think I can get a ladder to sit safely is dead center at the peak but that's not going to be much help. Looking for ideas hoping there is something I'm not thinking of. At this point I'm down to 2 options 1. Rent a cherry picker/man lift=$$ or 2. pay someone to do it that does this type of thing for a living also =$$.
BTW - I don't really like heights so it has to be something I feel safe doing. Any ideas ?

    X2
Or mount a 2X4 To the top of the ladder that will reach both sides of the roof short of the peak. But I think the scaffolding would be safer and easier.

I would use a rope and a harness and change it from the roof but I am used to doing this kind of work.

I gave scafolding a fleeting thought a while back then forgot about it. Might have to revisit it

I would use a manlift, but I'm used to doing this kind of work.

P.S. I still think scaffolding is your best bet.

I'm worried about the weight of the scaffold on the the deck.

Put plywood down before erecting the scaffold. Or boomlift might be easier considering all the work going into the scaffolding.

Your patio ? Scaffolding doesn't weigh that much , I would be more concerned about sinking a manlift into your lawn

Plywood squares under the adjustable feet is what we do to protect the patio surface

or just hire someone that knows what they are doing

Stonewall is the fattest 5 lug slug ever
Taking over the crazy big sister's old room. Took me two full days to empty it, and it was gross. Went from this: upu4u3e7_020243e0104af0b41e5170ae7402c2bccdf932a1.jpg
And now I'm priming. One wall was purple, three walls blue, and black trim. Now trim will be white and walls will be tan when I can afford to get paint. gumu5upu_504183fd14d0a4310c0d4c2e6a5cbd2a2fa168cc.jpg

    Now to prime the trim.
And Ol Stonewall Jackson is trying to figure out what's going on. Now I will be able to stare at him all day from my room.
