Oh, Craig...i remeber we talked about AFE intakes. Well...that sale ended and i decided to bitch out on a CAI entirely. Unless i get a used TRD (i know where there is one) then i will remain stock. The stock box does just fine. :)

Now i just "need" an exhaust

only you, they have done away with the mechanical LSD after 2008, his 2012 has an auto LSD, which are the brakes acting to simulate an LSD

Total loss of 65 jobs. The 95 administrative lobs are staying in Maryland. Looks like Tennessee gave Beretta tax breaks to move the factory there plus the manufacture gets to upgrade the tooling to state of the art. Want to bet the new tooling results in less FTE's to operate it.

Your probably right about lesser fte's also it would suprise me if within a couple of yrs.they quietly sneak out the administration department

wait, so the FTE thing with Beretta is a quirk with them? I was wondering why there were so many over 4 different shotguns from them

You're doing better than mark at the moment, with a $13k engine sitting in his garage half taken apart :(

Correct, this only applies to the mechanical LSDs. I haven't crawled under one, but i'd assume that the new LSDs don't even have the sticker to remind you of the additive?

different code for the housing, or just for the 3rd member? it'd be nice if they housing was the same, so that when someone with a mechanical LS gets a locker, someone with an electric one can swap it out for a cheap and effective upgrade.

The sticker is on the housing.

I thought the elocker models were bigger entirely. Such as one its 8" and the elocker is like 8.4"

    Don't quote me on that.

The big white sticker has the C6 on it and the little rectangular white sticker has the LSD OIL ONLY on it: [IMG]

other way around. LS diffs are 8.4'' because there is an internal cast truss that takes up more space. this is why you see a lot of 8.0'' e-locker trucks blowing teeth of of the ring and/or pinion. the truss in the 8.4'' lessens deflection under heavy input loads. without the truss, the 8.0'' deflects, which un-meshes the ring and pinion. with the lack of tooth engagement that causes, the teeth on the ring gear typically shear off at the mid-point.

Oh....so the elocker models are actually smaller....super cray....

I'm happy with my mechanical LSD because not only does it WORK, its what i've learned to drive with. I know how it acts and can feel when it kicks in. I don'f like the idea of brakes messing with my wheel spin. :(

They don't have an LSD at all. They have what my truck has, which is an open diff with a computer system that will pulse the rear brakes, making a horrendous grinding noise that sounds similar to the diff grenading, to simulate an LSD. Dosent work for shit either, one time I used it I still needed 4wd to get unstuck.... However I call dibs on ar's LSD if he wins the lottery and gets a locker
