Going to the uni gym today. Hoping its a pretty calm day. It will be the first time in over a year that I went there. They are still renovating so its all crammed into a small room.

Do you heavy weight train your core or stick with cardio and crunches.

I rarely hit my abs... most of core training is from engaging them when doing heavy movements, dead lifts, squats, pull ups, straight leg deads etc. I tend to consciously engage every single muscle I can while lifting during all movements

Daamn. I need to work harder.
I try to but have noticed that my last sets I forget to keep it tight unless in doing deads

That's why I've been keeping the reps lower with a moderate weight. More sets lower reps moderately high weight (60-70%) and Rep hold tempo training

Pre-workout has been taken. Back day begins in 20 mins! I'm thinking about laying off the stims for a few weeks, as the highlights of my day are when I drink my morning coffee, my Coke at lunch, and my pre-workout :anonymous:

Yeah, the coffee definitely isn't going anywhere. I haven't skipped my morning coffee since about 10th grade of high school lol.

I'll probably take a few weeks off the Coke and pre-workout though. I went a full year without pre-workouts, but now I'm back addicted

I took yall's advice and cycled off of the PWO stims, lol. My stim tolerance was through the roof. The first two weeks sucked major dick and I was groggy for most of the time. Now I'm making it through the entire day with good energy on 1 diet coke. I really just need to find a staple non-stim preworkout that gives a really good pump. Thats pretty much why I take them anyways. its like cumming

Awesome back day. After taking 4 finals online today (All of which I aced, btw), I was in a really pissy mood from sitting at the computer for 7-8 hrs. Back day made me happy, though. It's crazy how working out can completely change your mood.

It's been a while since I've been sore, but man, these last 2 days have been killin me. My chest was a little sore yesterday, but today it hurt to move. I just did legs yesterday, and I couldn't hardly walk today. I dread tomorrow.

Tonight's dinner was delicious, though. Salmon, broccoli/cheddar Mashed Taters, and garlic 5 cheese toast. So good.
