Boy after perusing bike forums all morning looking for license plate mount ideas our little discussion yesterday about speed is extremely mild. TW mods would shit a brick over there haha... Suggestions ranged from "run without a plate and just do a wheelie past stoplight cameras" to "Why would you ever pull over if you're on a bike?"

 

Haha wow... I guess there's a time and a place for everything.

Right now my license plate is just zip-tied. Vibrates at low rpm so I'll definitely be grabbing a couple reflective bolts.

 

Mine is just zip-tied too and lit up with blue LEDs that were put into all my fairings by the previous owner. I'm trying to get it all legal before sturgis, they love pulling you over for equipment violations up there since most everyone is drunk cruising around (I think we saw probably 20 DUIs happen as a result of ape hangers being too tall last year). My plate isn't as visible as I'd like and blue light is a no-no, gotta be white. I think I'm gonna be without rear turn signals for awhile though, I can't get an integrated taillight here in time. Hand signals it is haha

 

Rode with a guy running blue LEDs on his bike behind me the other night. Kept thinking a cop was pulling up in my mirrors... Haha

I hate my stock turn signals. The hand guards I ordered have integrated turn signals and the taillight I want has integrated turn signals as well. Should look much better once that's accomplished.

I also want to remove my mirrors badly, but I should probably wait until I get more experience... Haha trying to find some mirrors that actually look good, but I don't think that's possible.

As dumb as the LEDs are I gotta admit they look pretty cool. It also has strobes in the headlights to REALLY look like you're getting pulled over You can't really see them unless the headlight is off (probably good)

 

Haha yeah they looked good on his bike, but way too bright on the road at night.

 

Look into tripage led license bracket. It's a little expensive but looks great and has adjustability. I have it on my bike and love it

 

Just found all black plastics for the bike... From Thailand since the U.S. doesn't sell black CRF250's haha

 

Did they run for like 6 hours? Lol

 

Because it's a brand new bike and if I screw up painting them I wouldn't be too happy. Not like I have anywhere to paint the plastics anyways haha

This too. The downside of the black plastics is that the scratches will show much easier. I'll probably stick with the current plastics until I decide to turn this thing into a motard haha

 

I'm going to fix up my old ones this winter I think and just keep a spare set

 

What's wrong with your old ones? Just scratched?
