If you've been reading about them then I'm sure you've read about the weight. Those retreads are heavy sum biches. Read as MPGLOL

 

Whatever you do don't take Fletcher to North Campus after 430 PM. You get fucked hard by three traffic lights in a row. I lived on gershom the past two semesters and coming home from my internship if i took fletcher, It would take at least a half hour to get from that first right turn back to my apartment. Merrimack sucks too but its the fastest way across the river that i know of.

 

I'm sure I'll manage. They're only 32's and I'm currently getting 20mpg. What could be the worst?

Never had an issue with mine.

 

I've blown out three and another two have begun to split at the bead.

 

Yeah definitely going for the MTR sidewall

I had that happen with my old Cooper ATRs about halfway through their life span. All 4 started to split and that's with no off road use and proper inflation their whole life.

 

Hopefully cooper worked that out for you

 

On a positive note the grabbers ride very nice, did really well in the monsoon on the way into work this morning.

 

I just got a set of 35" mtrs . I like them so far .

 

They did, they warrantied the tires. The tires had 55% of their tread depth left so they gave me a 55% credit toward any new Cooper tires I wanted (since the ATR was also discontinued at that point). I'm happy Cooper stepped up to take care of me but I'm not sure I'd want their carcasses for a retread.

 

That's why I'm going with MTR sidewall carcasses

 

How fucking hard is it to get the caster even?! How about the camber?

Whatever. Firestone is opening a shop on Main Street like 2 miles from home. I'll get a lifetime alignment from them.
