    Do you plan on:

    A. Running it forever until it dies (barring any major maintenance cost that makes it not worth it after a certain point)

    B. Selling it in a few years (or whatever time period) and getting something newer because they hold their value so well?

For now, I think I am in the "A" frame of mind with my 2013 DC TRD OR, probably because my last Toyota truck I had, 1993, I kept for 17 years. We will see though.

    A. I'm older so why spend more money on trucks. This one will just get older with me.

I'm in the A category. My truck deserves to only have one family own it for its life. For me to sell it I would have to do a background check on the person buying it to ensure it will be properly looked after.

In it for the long haul. Our truck will be growing up with my son and when he turns 16 it will become his project truck to drive, fix, wreck, wheel, and do as he pleases. At that point, I will get myself a new one.

Run it until the cost to upkeep it is high enough to justify a new one.

I'm planning on keeping mine a long time. I hate shopping. But then messing with salesmen can be fun.

I told them I wanted to buy this truck with a credit card (I had cash I was gonna pay it off when the bill came). Think of the bonus points! The salesman didn't like that so they took a personal check.

My plan is to keep it and slowly turn it more and more into a dedicated weekend wheeling toy after I can afford a new daily driver.

The plan is to pay the truck off, and use whatever payments I would have been putting into a truck payment into the mortgage to pay off the house. I'll hopfully have it for 10 years or so if the frame stays intact.
