A bit of background on my situation....My Yakima setup is the LowRider towers. These are designed to mount to factory side rails which when stowed, the Tacoma factory rack is.The LowRiders work great and I have carried bikes and other stuff no problem.I also think it looks pretty slick particularily with the fairing installed.I bought the LoadWarrior last week while on vacation with the idea of moving my Yakima system over to my wifes van and attaching the basket to my factory crossbars. The LoadWarrior is designed to be used with virtually any crossbar-Yakima,Thule or factory. When I went to mount it however, due to the fact that the factory crossbars when deployed are static(don't move front to back),the basket wouldn't fit.It was just a little too short in it's longest mounting posistion to reach. So I re-installed the Yakima system, which can be posistioned anywhere along the factory rails, and mounted the LoadWarrior.Unfortunately, the finished product, which as I said is three systems deep, was too far up in the air to be functional for me.My bike racks mounted to the LoadWarrior would have been way to far in the air.Asthetically as well,I thought the basket sat too far off the roof and it ruined the lines of the truck.Available for the LoadWarrior is an extension, which mounts in the middle and lengthens the basket 18".....This would allow it to fit the factory crossbars with no problem but it's another $200+CAD and I'm not able to do that.

At the end of the day,I'm going to maintain my factory/Lowrider setup.

    Whew,what a windbag.......:D

Thanks for the explanation, Squad. While I am really jazzed about the OEM roof rack on my 09 DC Sport, the missing lateral movement in the bars is definitely an oversight. The Rocketbox from our Sienna will not fit on the DC with the standard bar spread, so I am going to now have to go the Lowrider route as well.

Nice looking DC longbed as well.

No sweat Robb, sorry to hear that....You measured and the Rocketbox won't fit for sure?I can take a measurement of the factory spread if you do not have one yet.Our Platnum 18 series from Yakima will work.

Also, there is a tower from Yak called the "Railgrab"...I've not seen them but you should check them for fit on the factory rails as well.

Here is mine: It now includes a fishing rod (10) holder that was installed under basket's the cargo bars (not the cap's cargo bars).

squad314 - Where did you get your racks? What else is that on top of your roof that makes it look so nice. I've got the same truck pretty much without the rack
