It's my moms. I have the option to take her truck (she wants a Subaru) or buy myself a 2014 or 2015 Scion tC.

The scion is very bulky, if you go that route get better suspension.

Hmm, I'd have to think about that. I'd like to keep everything aftermarket to the "TRD" stuff only because anything else might affect the warranty. I think I'm gonna at least wait until next summer to take a loan out on anything. I can afford it right now, but I go back and forth between what I want. Gonna probably wait a year and drive the truck over the winter just to be sure it's what I want.

I'm not going to go into the reasons why I don't want a Tacoma at this point in my life, because every time I do I get shit on. But I will say that while the Tacoma is a really nice truck, a car would be better for me, right now. But at the same time, I can make a truck work.

And another reason I want to buy a really nice brand new car, is to be able to say I paid for it all by myself. So it's also a pride thing haha

I did college in a 2012 4dr civic. It holds A LOT of stuff but moving was, and is, a hassle. Still got 46mpg fully loaded though. 50+ unloaded.

Other than moving I would have never needed a truck and the mpgs were very nice.

Nope. Working right now until I'm 21, then going OTR trucking.

People think I'm dumb for wanting a car. 30mpg+ over 20 or 21mpg adds up. Plus, everything I carry usually can't go in the bed of a truck. And with the access cab, if I want to put subs in (which of course I do :)) there's going to be no space in the back. With a car, I could put a system in, still be able to carry five people, and still have room in the trunk.

But you never know. Guy came here to visit from Florida in his taco and coming through Kansas a tornado formed and he had to drive his truck into a drainage ditch. Then heavy rain started to fill the ditch and was stuck in the mud so had to winch his truck out on the guardrail.

    Never know. :D

So enough of the tacoma car thing. We are getting carpet in my old house and one of the workers asked if he could use the bathroom. I told him that its around the corner but the water is off so make sure it has water in the head to flush. Not only does he not check but he drops a effing bomb it doesn't flush then goes to lunch wtf...

I wouldn't have trusted myself with brand new a year ago. I'd rather have the used truck but thats just me.
