I am still struggling on trying to make a decision for a new set of tires. I have the stock 16" alloy wheels right now. i am leaning towards 305 75 16

Vehicle will have 3" lift. I don't want any cutting involved for now...

    enlighten me. Thanks!

Are you sticking with the stock rims?
If you are you will have issues if you go much bigger than stock without spacers...

i wanted to stick to stock rims but if it will need spacers then i would rather get new set of wheels too.

I would search it. The Search function can answer just about anything if you look hard enough. I know I couldnt fit my 33's with stock wheels though.

I'm pretty sure a 305 won't fit on the stock 16". If you did manage to shoehorn them on, they'll look like an hourglass.

Sounds like you need to stop into your local Discount Tire.

so 305 will work with the stock 17" trd wheels? how can i figure out if a tire will fit a particular wheel? do they both have to have the same exact width? apart from the wheel diameter?

largest 16 without any cutting (for sure) is 265/75/16. you might get lucky with 285/75/16

So i am gonna go with new set of wheels. 17" with at least 4-4.5 backspacing...the the konig contersteer or some procomps...that should make it easy to get 285s

Solid plan. I'm running 17s with 285's and they don't rub at all

My advice, stick with 265/75/16s unless you're getting new rims.

There's guys who have run q78 (35.5x10) swampers on stock 16s. I think that's going to be my next tire. You would probably need a spacer since it would be into the upper control arm.

265/75/16 is as big as it gets without cutting/rubbing. Even that can be a tight depending on bs/offset. I ran this without rubbing/cutting before the lift, but it was tight. Going to 17s won't help you with the 285s.

    Before lift with 265/75/16
