^^^ This. I was one of the first guys that wanted to buy this Core shifter, but I've been afraid of adding more noise.

Are any of you guys in the San Diego area? Would love to check out your truck. I don't have to drive, but it would be nice to sit shotgun and listen to the transmission as you shift.

They just refunded my money. Said they don't have it in stock and don't know when they will. Bummer.

Small lift, not sure what kind.. Bull bar, n-fab step bars, undercover bed cover, led interior lights, Flyzeye lights.
The noise sucks... I gripped about it and asked what his refund policy was and he sent me one with the milder reduction and the noise still sucks.. lol

at least with the milder reduction it feels like it goes into gear.. with the 30% reduction it never felt like it fully engaged the gear..

I agree it's not as quiet as I had hoped prior to install but if I turn up the stereo one more notch I don't hear it. Also if I'm using my Bluetooth on the phone it's not loud enough to impede a conversation.
It's a truck - might as well sound like one right? :D

I love this shifter. It is loud but it's a truck. I average about 24 to 25k miles a year and this is my daily driver. I like the way it looks and shifts.

Update: After numerous emails with Chris well into the evening, we came to a deal and I'm gonna get my shifter. I guess he had received a shipment of slightly damaged sticks (minor scratches and dings) and offered $20 off. So depending on how bad it looks I may paint or have powder coated. I made the mistake of clicking on the link at the beginning of this thread, which for some reason allowed me to place the order. If you want one of these shifters, you need to email Chris first. Waiting to find out when it wil be ready to ship.
I don't think the noise will bother me.

The noise is noticeable, but not bad at all. As a matter of fact, I kinda like it lol

You'll have to email Chris to see if he'll do it for you. It's not in his normal production run at this time.

Just making sure that I should still be contacting someone at core-shifters, not some forum member named Chris.

The contact email I found on their site is sales@core-shifters.com.

Correct. Chris is at Core-Shifters, and that is the email I use.

Just ordered a set for myself with a blemished stick. If it's bad I'll have the chrome stripped and powdercoat it.
