Successfully test fitted the lights. Now just the install part. Frame drilling
Well...not all frame Fronts mount on the fender well/Centers on the frame/rears...undecided After cleaning the mount spots with alcohol and wrapping the lights in 3M tape...stickmeister. Almost couldn't get them off.

Iven...I'll swing by tomorrow evening and I need your help/judgement on the rear mount points...they're a pain to figure out and besides...a second opinion is priceless!...as well as an Ice Cold Hoegaarden

Thought SUA is only good for sand jumping?

 

Any body know what setting the 5100's would be to equal the stock shock with a leveling spacer using the stock spring? I've searched the fourm on what to set it at but no real answers were found. Some say 0, others say .85. Any input? I plan on tackling this this weekend.

 

Depends on your leveling spacer... most people say that the 1.75" height adjustment is good for just a little but of rake. The 2.5 may be nose up when you haul or your leafs wear out...

 

If it makes any difference, the spacer is 1.25" thick.

 

IIRC, spacers technically give you double amount of lift.. so if the physical size of your spacer is 1.25", then you are seeing 2.5" of lift.. if with a load or not you like your truck how it is now, then you would want the 2.5" (top) notch.. just remember that 2.5" is hit or miss if you need UCAs to get back in perfect alignment..

do that for now. You could always add OME 885s down the road with or without a top plate and have the springs do the lifting rather than shocks being preloaded..

 

You gotta do it! It would take your truck to the next level! Then between the locker, and a winch, you could go anywhere on Kauai! Even by yourself

Oh yeah, if you stick the tape to the truck and let it sit for a few minutes before you stick the light on it, it holds a lot better

 

bad news.... i saw my account and a small part of me died a lil. I spent way too much money fixing stuff and paying for cleaning the old house.... im gunna be on a tight budget for a while sadly.

This weekend starts my detailing madness. last chance to use all of toyotas free chemicals before i go back to buying my own. wash, polish, wax, and seal if i can get my friend to xzylon my truck for me lol

me too! I missed the last one.
X2 on Waikani. For lack of a better word, I think those are the most advanced or Red level trails on Oahu. Even the one by the boys home has missing bark and paint on the trees and that's just the entrance. Lol
