The one thing I hate about my 2014 TRD quad cab 4x4 Sport is the stupid cup holders just in front of the gear shift. I put a cup of lets say soda in either of them and when I pick the cup up the cup holder comes with it. Needless to say I don't like the new cup holders.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Well if that's your worst complaint then Wooohooo. Sounds like you found your perfect truck.

No complaints about odd engine noises. No fuel door lock. Wonky non-level bed rails. Soft suspwnsipn unsuited for a truck. Terrible stereo. Lots of road noise....

Yeah, if cup holders are your worst gripe then you got it pretty good.

Of course in my 07 the cup holders are awesome! Just sayin.

To solve my issue with this I put a 1.5" square of loop velcro on the bottom of each and some hook on the plastic underneath. Works for the most part.

EDIT: I have only had problems with powerade bottles to be honest...and the occasional large fast food restaurant drink.

Drill a small hole in the bottom of each, it will release the vaccum hold on some of the bottles/cans you put in there. On top of what JdevTac said ^, should help matters.

Do the Velcro thing. I did mine after the first time they pulled out. Hasn't happened since, 2 years +.

I pulled those two rubber cup holders out, they don't fit half of what I use anyway. I replaced them with the cup holder from the earlier Tacomas. While it may break more often, it does work better IMO.

The stereo seems pretty good so far and this is one of the quietest vehicles I have had, it's just about as quiet as my Wife's 2009 Camry and it's pretty quiet, it is quieter than her new Captiva though. As far as noises go it does make a cacophony of noises when you shut it off.

    JdevTac

I'm going to try the velcro today as well as Guerrilla's advice on putting a small hole in the bottom.

Look at the cup holders in a 99 Lexus ES300, you will love the cup holders in a Tacoma, trust me they are the most useless POS in any car I have ever seen. Your better off with the old school style that clip on the window rail..
