Nathan...take a look at Defconbrix's setup on TW. He has the exact same 6 Rigid's I have, and his shit is lit! His bumpers are trimmed up 3 inches higher for clearance though, so he has an advantage over my stocks.

Installed some Weathertechs in the front and rear, and picked up a ball mount to stick in the hitch receiver.

Found out the Master Lock hitch lock didn't fit, so I returned it and went with the Reese lock. The pin is 5/8, but there's still a bit of wiggle room. Not really an issue, but things like that tend to bug me.

    Some stuff...
More wheelin and fly fishin. Lost a rear mud flap on a very rough, muddy washedout "trail" today so removed all four. Thinking about going rubber mud flaps all around though.

Ordered Bilstein 5100s for the front. A small purchase to most but it officially marks the first time I have ever spent money to replace a part on a vehicle just for the fun of it. I ordered from Wheelers, both fronts for $170 I believe, plus an unknown amount of shipping.

They seem very popular, a few complaints about their durability and some leaking issues but it seems like I can hope for at least 30k miles out of them. Is that unrealistic? They'll be replacing stocks with over 100k so I would sure expect to see them last.

Looking forward to leveling out the truck!

Changed: Rear diff oil, engine oil and filter, air intake filter, in cabin air filter, spark plugs, rotated tires and put anti-corrosion gel on the battery terminals of the battery i installed on Friday.

Still need to change front diff oil and transfer case. Drain plug on the diff didn't want to budge, so I ordered a 1/2" to 3/8" reducer so that I can hit it with the impact gun :D.

Just broke a rear 5100 driving around town. Got around 35000 on them. No crazy off roading. Broke the threads off. You should be fine for awhile. Must have been a pot hole or something, no idea how it happened. They ride nice though, you will like them.

Yup, that's lit up pretty good. For my taste the center could be lit a little more for the spotters when you're night wheeling though. My setup is more for right under the truck, but I would like a little more light out to the sides like Defcon's. Time to add a few more COB LED strips.

You can see the need for lighting up directly under the truck in this video. You'll have to forgive the malfunctions. I had a short in the ribbon cable leading to my switch panel causing the lockers and everything attached to it to die intermittently.

Great video, but I agree to disagree..:D

I think lights directly under the truck and beaming down are not providing the proper view for the driver. Side lights or lights directed outwards tend to illuminate the walls/obstacles that you may need to avoid. Your lights although awesome looking, tend to be directed straight down and not casting out far enough against the walls (from the video perception). I feel our vision and depth of field in the dark is limited and needs to go outward more. The front lights on the vehicle def give a view of what's coming, but I think having lights beaming out the sides gives you more security because you can actually see what you might be scraping up against and can judge the distance better. I can look out my window when traversing an incline over rough terrain and see straight down, but not what's under my truck. Now if they're for a spotter/guide to help you make judgement then perhaps that's a good call. Perhaps a combination of both! My personal opinion, but nonetheless...:D Rock on brother!

Edit: Just saw your first post...lol Yeah...both directly down and out to the sides would be the best of both worlds...for you and the spotters...:D Thanks for sharing!
