How did everybody do after the storm last Wednesday? I heard on the radio the emergency broadcast thing on several stations that it was going across SE WA and up the panhandle of ID. I was out in it trying to get my horses to cover for the worst of it. Had several trees topped by the wind, and one took out about 1/3 of my barn roof. Lost power for a day and a half but got it back in time for the wedding my wife and I hosted for my sister in law. Lost a few other things but the house stayed undamaged and all the animals are good.

 

The Spokane NWS office recorded gusts of 66mph and sustained wind speeds of 54mph. It wasn't quite as severe down here, but my office did receive reports of golf ball sized hail that covered the ground (couple inches deep) near Madras, Oregon. I missed out on the fun part of the storm as our radar decided to take a dump when we needed it most, and I was elbow deep in wiring trying to bring it back to life.

though i may have to limmit strap the driver side cuz ah drive line and what not.

 

There's a possability of me looking into moving to a port city instead of co or ut.

I know some of you gents were considering the port cities as well

 

I want to drive this mother fker so bad...but in my infinite wisdom I hosed up a few brake fitting flares and it leaks too much to drive safely. Just a couple more days and I'll have it fingered out.

From rain Forrest to desert, WA has it. West coast of WA tends to have horrible traffic from South of Tacoma to Everett, which is about a 70+ mile stretch. Bellingham is about 60 miles north of Everett, and that is on the coast. It is also more likely to get snow than Everett to Tacoma. Anywhere toward the west side, there are plenty of rivers, lakes, and salt water to fish from. The mountains are more toward the west side for hiking, camping, wheeling, but those can be found about anywhere. Cost of living is higher on the west side compared to anything east of the mountains, but wages are higher as well.

 

My girl and I have settled on living in or near Shelton it's a nice area with lots around it.

 

Wa it's a neat state western Wa is nice as is northern idaho (and maybe very very very eastern wa). But it's not home for me

 

I think I would spring for Portland more. Seattle is too far north and a bit too cold.
