( I posted this in the AV forum and tried the one suggestion I got to no avail, that forum doesn't seem like it gets a lot of traffic)

I have a weird thing going on with my phone bluetooth connection and my 2013 Tacoma. I recently deleted a bunch of songs off my phone and they are still showing up and are able to be heard when my bluetooth connects. I tried the following:

    1. Disconnecting connection on the dash so there are NO phones registered via bluetooth
    2. Disconnected the CAR MULTIMEDIA "device" on the phone's bluetooth setting
    3. Restarted Phone
    4. Added "New" Device via the dash
    5. Paired up again

Same problem, there are artists/songs showing up that aren't on my phone anymore. Most say "NO DATA" when I play them, but what's weird is some of them are still able to be heard.

Any ideas on how to get the music in my audio system to match my phone exactly?

    Thanks

Sounds like a phone problem. How did you delete the songs from your phone? Did you use iTunes to do it? Did not know the car audio system could download songs. Have you tried deleting all your songs, then disconnecting your phone, do a full restart then connect it to the Tacoma to see if they are still there? If not reload songs to your phone. Or as a last resort set phone to factory settings and start over AFTER doing a phone backup.

Same problem here. Delete songs by swiping on phone and hitting delete. Still shows up on Taco screen under playlist and wont play if I select it by touching the song on the screen.

I had a similar issue with my Bluetooth and 5s. I called a local dealership and they wanted to charge me $150 just to look at it. So I went to Verizon who blamed it on Toyota(software was not compatible), then I went to Apple who blamed it on Toyota(also said the software wasn't compatible), and lastly I called Toyota who blamed it on Apple(said it was compatible so it must be a problem with the phone). They were all giving me a run around and I was getting pissed that a 600 dollar phone was not compatible with a two year old truck! In the end I did the hour drive and went to my buddy at the dealership where I brought the truck and he had some kid fix it for me and I haven't had ANY problems since. O/P I am sorry but I don't remember exactly how he fixed it but I do know when he was setting it up the kid was accessing menus in the truck and the iPhone that I have never seen. IT WASNT PART OF THE NORMAL SETUP FOR BLUETOOTH and it only took the kid seconds to fix it.. I am not a tech expert but I was able to set up multiple devices (other iPhones, iPads) without any help or getting to these secret squirrel screens. Goodluck!

I think it is a I Phone issue. My Samsung works perfectly but we also have a I phone 5s that gives us all kinds of issues.

Weird, I have a 2013 and an iPhone 5s works great. I am interested in the hidden menu. I would love to have all audio sources show up as a default instead of the cascade menu. OP good luck with your issue
