    Just ordered new LBJs.

Old ones measured about 0.010" of play with 197,000 miles. Thats under the "max allowed" spec of 0.020" but I just want the peace of mind.

Out here in the bay area you probably won't see a (salvageable) front ford dana 60 for under 1k. specifically out of a 77.5 - 79 ford.

I looked on craigs for a month or so and gave up till i have funds lol.

hopefully your talking about SAS's. Lol...

im gonna be putting one on mine as well. Jberry has his mounted on the center console passenger side aimed up. when in his truck, the cb sounded great. clear and loud and it didn't impede on the passengers room much

I've got a CB speaker from RadioShack up in the driver footwell. I think that will be a problem for you clutch-pushers though. It's plenty loud enough away up there and you can't see it unless you jam your face to the brake pedal. Haha. There was already a threaded hole up there so i just found a bolt that matched. The sound is very clear when my CB actually works....calling Uniden soon because my unit is a POS

    Edit: I found a picture.

I've seen someone install it behind the drivers seat up on the pillar. I like that spot. Currently I can hear perfectly with the current speaker on the cb but prob can't do it going fast with the windows open

Yea I did, Ima give it a bump in the morning. I think is is more than one problem, when I started it this after noon it would surge at idle and I thought I could hear a vacuum leak and when it got to where it would run right, the temp gauge would fluctuate and the dive when I rev it.
