The DDM kit is about the cheapest price you will find for the HID kit. I think it was about $86 for the Jetta, including shipping but that is also dual beam bulb. I have heard of other people having issues with the DDM kit, but I personally have not. If your headlights are not as bright as you want, then I think these are worth it. Just don't do HID for high beams if it is a separate bulb. I personally like about a 6000k color, where it is white, just starting to touch on the blue.

Anyone in need of a TRD Exhaust or URD Y Pipe for v6 4x4 Acesscab Longbed? Doing some garage cleaning and willing to do a deal for this week only. If not I will just move them to storage til I sell for a good price. Both have less then 1k miles on them. PM me if you're interested. I'm up in Mill Creek

I'm in need of a more powerful setup, which could include exhaust, but unfortunately, I have the 4 banger

Nice I love camping near hoodoo. Many small lakes and very secluded. Also some dunes there for the bikes.

I think that's because non-retro does two things:
    1. you get a lot of diffused, unfocused light, so you are wasting a lot of potential
    2. that diffused light ends up blinding other drivers. I want to flip on my offroad lights at those drivers, but I drive with my covers on

What a lot of people in trucks do is lift them, HID lights, and don't aim them downward after, so now the lights are higher and brighter. The Jetta is actually at a good setting, probably because she sits so low.

Retros look better. Perform better. And keep the road safe for everybody. I don't care if you aim them down, the housing pouring light in every direction is still not fun to look at in my rearview

Joe and I are on a team together for Portland. Did you sign up as part of his team or flying solo? If you want to join up on the team, you could probably contact TM people and get on the team. With enough people on a team, they start offering discounts which come as reimbursement after the event. Also it would be cool to have another TW person on the team.

What was your final decision on TM Portland? I remember you were talking about maybe being on medical team.

Warrior dash is a warm up for a Tough Mudder...step it up a notch Mike.

I am looking into doing TM Seattle next year with a friend from school from all the way back in elementary. He was always the fat kid, and he peaked out at 455 lbs when he finally decided to make massive changes. He went to a raw vegan diet, and started exercising, and in about a year and a half got to 220 lbs. for next year, I can start a team for Seattle and a few of us can hit that. What do you think about that one Mike?
