    No cookie for you.

How you manage to get anything but an open differential in either 2WD or 4HI is beyond me.

Sure, experiment, tell us the results. We've seen above the actual experiment, and the result was when the nannies are OFF, they are OFF.

Oz, DoorDing, I've put this truck into situations where it's almost swapping ends and there has been no nannies kick in, in both 2WD and 4HI. Doing donuts in a parking lot, if the nannies were active, they'd kick in, they don't. 2WD or 4HI they don't kick in. Go out and do that, report the results. I haven't seen either of you do so and report the results.

I'm not out to convince everybody I'm right , it's just not as important to me as it obviously is to you , I posted my experience with it , which is similar to some other people's experience , take it or leave it , I care not

This past saturday I tried it on sand, on 4hi, on a '13 OR; held the button for a few seconds til it displayed that it was off... did some very aggressive donuts and I kick in and out... When I came to a full stop it displayed as if it was still off but I'm 100% sure it kick in and out... I did not try it on 2hi.... I'll give it a try next time I'm out wheeling... but I would assume it's going to kick in even sooner... but that would just be a guess....

I see you have a good sized lift with Dakars. As I've said before maybe that has something to do with the discrepancy. I can't get the VSC to kick in once I hold that button down. After experimenting my results were the same as Bobcape's in post #177 in this thread (which was an excellent case of experimentation and documentaion).

I've seen threads where a recalibration of the system has to be done after a 2"-2.5" lift.

Let me start by saying I wish I had my 2008 DCLB SR5 back

I have a 2014 DCLB TRD Sport now, and all this shit is making me mental.
    ABS,VSC, what's it all for?
Is it because people need a bunch of engineers to make sure they get to their destination safely, and they are too stupid to know how to drive?
All I'm saying is when we rode bicycles when we were kids, nobody wore a helmet. If you did something stupid, or rode above you level, and crashed and died, well that's your fault.
It was natures way of weeding out the idiots.
Now, it seems I'm surrounded by them.

I wish I could rip all this shit out, along with emission control and computers.
I want and engine, a drivetrain, and somewhere I can sit out of the weather.
Now I have this truck that does all kinds of things I don't want to do, all the while making noises I have never heard before.

FWIW, I say my VSC is lurking...

they are safety features, because it isnt always your fault but it can be because of the person in front of you
problem isnt idiots weeding themselves out….its when they take innocent people with them!

you can indeed kill some safety features like ABS
but im sure you probably figure out how to "search" unlike "stupid" people that need safety features!
The 12th of this month marked a year since i almost lost my brother from a bicycle accident where he got ran over by a car…. ended up in a coma for a week, skull fractures and brain damage that left him blind in one eye and partially deaf in one ear… he did nothing wrong except NOT WEAR A HELMET!

    So anyway

I was driving my truck today , in 2WD , with VSC OFF , on pavement at about 40 mph and made a sharp right and the VSC / TRACTION CONTROL kicked in even though I had it in VSC OFF mode

Truck was loaded so there may have been a bit more body roll than normal but there it is

VSC OFF doesn't mean VSC CAN'T ENGAGE
