Having a lifted truck that doesn't see dirt doesn't make someone a douche bag, acting like a fucktard does.

    and

Mall crawling has nothing to do with your age or being at the mall.

When your bed isn't armed and the zombie apocalypse is among us, you're screwed. I didn't spend a million on a bunker for nothing.

All I'm saying is a 6" lift is 9x out of 10 used by mall crawlers, or people don't use them for what they were intended. I just don't see a point of going huge on a 1/4 ton truck, that's all. If you use it, don't take offense

Jumping right into conversation here, sorry.

We bought my truck lowered 3" with yucky chrome rims (picture attached). Liked it until I noticed it was lowered. As time passed I grew more intolerant; I hated being so low. Lowest truck around no matter where I was. Felt like I was getting into a car and driving one.

Missed your exit and want to cross the grass real quick? Nope. Steep driveway? Not with that towing package. Going to get in a wreck? Sucks to be you.

Not to mention the oil change-Not very fun!

After lifting the truck... Feels amazing. Climbed in and giggled my ass off. I feel like I am in a truck... Not sitting on the pavement. Ground clearance. Flooded roads? No problem, get out of the way, low clearance cars. It just feels amazing. I know my testimony was from a lowered perspective but the same can be applied to a stock truck.

Bottom line: You spend a lot of time driving, so no matter what the function of a mod is, the vehicle you own better make you smile every time you get in it. Happiness is more important than anything.

Man, if your truck was lowered... Then by all means get your butt off the ground with a lift. Get that truck back up to where it's supposed to be. Honestly, I hate it when people LOWER trucks more than anything else. People who lift it and don't use it, oh well... But people who lower it and destroy any and all functionality of a truck.... go buy a rice rocket.

and by the way, your truck looks really nice man.

I feel the same way about lowered trucks. It completely defeats the purpose. When I talk about MPG people tell me to buy a car, but I say if you're going to LOWER a truck... Buy a car!!

Then you see roll pans and ugh... The list can go on! I saw a BRAND NEW Silverado (Incase you haven't seen them, they got a nice little body line upgrade, I like it) lowered all the way down. Made no sense to me. I would rather see someone ruin an old truck before a brand new one. That is an abomination! Not even Chevy deserves that

As for my truck, thank you! I am so relieved to have it look, feel, and ride like a truck again. Next I'll be trading all the chrome for black sand pearl. I do agree with you that lifting a truck without the intent of going off pavement is a little ironic and even frowned upon, but that was my reasoning. Also, just like buying a 4x4 "just in case"... If I ever for some reason need to go off the pavement I am better equipped. Hey, at least I didn't get some big mud tires just for looks! Highway tires for me
