Hey guys, question for yall. After this last trip I ripped a ton of plastic down into my fender well and broke some fender clips and the rubbing is pissing me off quite a lot.
Would it be stupid to take 2" out of my fenders like the guys do for 35s. I would like to be able to flex up in there and turn...

 

What's wabdr meet? I haven't even tested to see if my 4wd works like it should yet.

 

A stock Montero and 2 jeeps came up after you guys left and on the way back down we asked him if he made it up the hill or took the by pass and he said he made it up the hill.. We all call BS on it

 

My dad is part of NorthWest Overland and that one that Beavis posted a picture of is on there. He made it to the lake 2 weekends ago.

Nope, at least my neighbors isn't. Even if it was he didn't have the clearance, his running boards stuck down lower than anything on my truck.

Yes they do! My neighbor has 1 and it is bad ass. Turbo too! Not enough to convert me though.

 

Those are clean brackets but I found one earlier that made it out of angle iron, seemed pretty easy to do myself.

 

Ha! That is kinda neat. I've always liked the vanagons better. Learned to drive a stick on a 73 vanagon

 

This is what I learned on, 6500lbs, no power steering, no power breaks and 5 speed manual. Oh and a old Austrian shift pattern too. Oh and I took this up to Gallagher Head lake the first time I ever went up. Imagine trying to turn this through those turns..

 

While I cringe at the thought, Mitsubishi actually has a reputation of making capable off road vehicles. The were the first Japanese company to manufacture a car with full time four wheel drive back in the 1930s. The Monteros and variations worldwide get some off road cred. Wouldn't drive on myself though.
