instrument panel on 06 tacoma

Just wondering if anyone would know why when i turn my key to acc the check engine light, oil light, and abs light and tire pressure lights all come on but are dim. Just happened first time when i got to work. Thanks for help

 

they come on as a self check and shut off once running right?

dim doesnt sound good tho, Ill BRB and make sure mine doesnt do the same.

 

I also have a kicker hideaway thats supposed to be off when the trucks not on but now it comes on when the key is on acc

 

Yes when i crank it the go off but when i turn truck off but put key in acc position they come on kinda dim. If i turn key completely off they go off

 

odd, I get nothing till the second click and they are all bright.

Have u noticed dimming headlights, interioir lights, or other signs of a weak battery/failing alternator?

Or even spiking of lights from dim to super bright while driving?

 

Nope everything seems fine outside of the lights on when set to acc

 

sorry then, without a test on the battery and a check for draw when off, Im not sure wtf is going on to be honest.

I should be asleep tho so maybe I missed something.

 

I wonder if the ignition switch could be going bad since the amp comes on?

 

Could be a short somehwere
who wired up the amp?
If wired correctly, amp should come on when the radio comes on. First click of the key. All light on the dash should come on the second click.

 

The amp was wired by a car audio shop a little over a year ago. Its never came on til the second click of the key until now. When i click key one time it comes on along with check engine..abs...tire pressure...and oil lights. The lights are dim and look like they flicker a bit. They go off when i crank it though

 

The blue remote wire is ran to the 15a ign fuse under steering wheel

 

Don't know what else to tell you, beside I hate wiring problem solving lol
