    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
I've found that the reputable brands gimbals are worth the money, versus paying for an off-brand from China that is "cheaper" but requires tinkering with all the damn time.

    Posting in the blind:

Will be selling my Pixhawk Steadidrone QU4D (2012 model) in the next month or so. Let me know if interested... will make a hell of a deal.

I had to escort these guys around to a bunch of different places on the mine I work at. They were shooting video to be used later. I was amazed at how stable and clear the picture was. It was extremely well defined. My first experience with them. Very interesting.

that's the problem. i was having no luck finding a reputable brand one for a point and shoot. they all seem to go from gopros straight to full sized cameras, which is overkill for the point and shoot i want to use. that's why i had to resort to ebay to find anything. i'm not against building my own, i just wanted to pick the brains of the masses first. if you know of a reputable control board, i'm not against getting a $60 carbon gimbal frame off of ebay and picking up some motors for it for a little DIY gimbal.

so then i gues the question is, do i get a cheap chinese plug-and-play one and take a risk on quality, or do i try to find the control board from a better one, build my own, and then try to figure out how to set it up myself....... damn decisions.

Sooooo it's either breakfast time in AZ, that's a slang term for something gimbal related, or the joke you made just went right over my head :eek::eek:

Long sold, I don't think I will buy another RTF after seeing the options out there and talking to others on forums. Settled on a tarot hex frame for my gopro, going to try to build a bigger hex/quad/octo for my dslr and a futaba? radio

super light... not really "sized" like hobby multis... but if I had to guess, it's around a 600-700mm

was going to see if you wanted a phantom waterproof/hard case for half price, but nevermind lol.

just trying to get an idea of the scale. with a standard camera, it's pretty easty to use that as a size refference. not so much on this one. nifty little folding setup. is that one intended to fly in close proximity to things/indoors with that perimeter guard? looks like it could stand up when folded like that.
