have a first date out with a small group going somewhere fun/exciting then have a 2nd date 1:1.

 

Going to the movie's is terrible date.

 

I took my gf to see the perge w/o looking at the previews or knowing what it was about....lulz......

 

In high school I took a girl on a v day date to see final destination. She was all over me during the movie because she was scared haha

I actually never took a girl to the movies on a first date. Third date, maybe, unless they specifically said there was something they wanted to see. For first dates I always took her to do something that I was horrible at (or that I could realistically fake being horrible at) like bowling, roller skating, mini golf, etc. Getting them laughing at how bad or awkwardly clumsy I was at something always seemed to set them at ease, and we always had a good time. I never failed to get followup dates that way.

But, that was 10-15 years ago. High School and College girls now would probably be too absorbed in their cell phones to have had a good time on dates like that.
