Ha I lift heavy and work hard, but I only do it 45 mins a day, 4 days a week.

I can only speak for the Whole Foods and Trader Joe's here in GA. I've been a couple times and every time, it's full of hipsters and potheads lol. The stuff in there was cool, but the closest one from my house is about an hour away AND it's in Atlanta, so that's a double no-no. We've got a butcher in our town with a really good steak and seafood selection; we go there at least once a week for some big-ass steaks or tuna steaks. No sushi though...I love some fucking sushi.

I just google'd it and read the bro-science on the bb forums :anonymous:

you burn about 2-300 lifting weights at the most. you do get some metabolic burn after wards but that only last like 3 hours.

people that tell you to keep 30 seconds timed between sets, get away from those people, lifting weights is not cardio, you wanna make gainz not fucking make your heart pop.

Technically a superset is still a "set" You don't do a superset and wait 30 seconds then hit a superset again :p

slow walk and swimming is my kind of cardio. i already train intense enough in the gym i don't need to fry myself doing all those strenuous cardio that makes no gainz.

that's one of the two things I didn't like about my last workout I was doing...I was so tired between sets that I couldn't lift as much weight...The other thing I didn't like was that it was a 6 day workout. FUCK DAT!

I like 4 days a week and I take about 1 min between sets so I can lift more...unless going really heavy, then I go 2 mins or so between sets.

    x2

have you heard of health? yeah big muscles are cool and all but its not going to aid in your longevity or quality of life like cardio is. your hearts a muscle just like your biceps and quads it needs to be worked just as intensely, just cuz you can't see it doesn't mean its not important.

(not necessarily directed at you t4r4life) i don't get the whole body builder "bulk and no cardio" mentality it makes no sense other than trying to get bigger for looks and to cover up peoples insecurities. and like i said thats cool and all but what good is that if your over all health other than speeding up your metabolism slightly. its like the people throwing fiberglass fenders, a skid plate, spare tires and LED bars all over a stock truck, to the average person it looks like a bad ass prerunner but in reality it can barley get over a speed bump. but then you add a motor mods, suspension mods, and strengthen it up and now you got a well built machine. (notice the truck reference :p)

how practical is a bicep curl? when do you actually need your bicep to be incredibly strong? or a lateral raise? who lifts anything they pick up like that? then they always think there fitness experts when in reality they excel in being large, a power lifter is stronger than a body builder, a gymnast has more body weigh strength an endurance athlete has better endurance, a ply lifter has more coordination and yogi has better flexibility and a soccer player is gona be more agile as a body builder you'll look like your healthy when in reality, your not, your not good at anything other than looking like your good at something.

this is why i don't understand the bad rap crossfit gets (other than when peoples form is bad and can get hurt, the annoying social media posts, bad coaches and of course stingy ass reebok.) CF is training to be good across a wide spectrum of things which for the everyday person is good. most novices in the gym are either running on the treadmill 5 days a week and those people are weak or doing bench and curls 5 days a week and those people have bad cardio. your 40 year old married man doesn't need to be able to bench press 400 pounds and look like arnold or run a sub 5 minute mile, chances are they'll just want to be in good shape and feel good and mainly live long enough to see there kids get married.

and I'm not saying crossfit is all that does that theres plenty of stuff, have a solid weight training program, good diet and do some cardio stuff. swim, do a spin class after you lift, take your GF on a hike. do something practical. i don't do any of that bulking and cutting shit and i put on weight slower but i keep same BF without getting fat then having to cut it off. just stay healthy people, fitness and health shouldn't have a season.

just my 2cents I'm not willing to sacrifice my longevity and health to look un godly huge....

but srsly, I do the bare minimum of cardio to get by, ie. walk/jog/cycle 10-15 mins pre or post workout....although, I do throw in a tabata workout at the end of a workout a couple times a week, which whips my ass every time. With 10% cardio and 90% heavy lifting, I hope my heart's okay

I usually walk 5-7 miles a day at work. A slow day is around 3 miles. I feel like that's plenty.

1.5 hours total gym time, 10 min cardio interval warm up, 80 min of lifting, 1200 Cal burned. You aren't working hard enough.
