Born and Raised in Chandler. When we first moved in our house was the 3rd house build in the neighborhood (virgin desert). Never once in my life have I seen a scorpion without actually going out and trying to hunt them down. Even then, never once seen them in, at, or around any of my houses.

Scorpions are migratory, they like to follow the same path. There are neighborhoods where one house is infested and the house next door has never seen one. And f*ck scorpions, I hate them lol

I do like to get 2 of them and starve them for awhile, then put them in the same tank and watch them kill each other. About the only use I've found for them so far.

My wife owned our house when I met her. Not a single scorpion in all 8 years she has been here.

The house I grew up in had scorpion problems. Stepped on one but didn't get stung out in the garage. I also encounter one in the cup I kept in the bathroom. Filled it up with water and went to take a drink and discovered it. I beat the shit out of that cup. My dad passed away in 2005 and my mom got remarried in 2008, and I took over the house. My fiance at the time was living with me. She stepped on one and got stung.

I for one hate those bastards. Snakes and scorpions can both burn in hell. I hate them with a passion.

I do my own pest control and for the most part am highly successful. I have 2 little toddlers to watch out for. Once my wife got stung 3 times by the same little bugger, it was time to drop the pest control company and took advice from our pediatrician who was the medical school pest control.

These chemicals and methods are what most companies use here in Arizona. My main concern is scorpions.

first seal your house from them and their food supply which is live insects. They only follow and eat live pests. I foamed the flash molding around the entire house to completely seal the exterior as crickets were entering that way and scorpions follow.

exterior hard surfaces (to include porous) concrete floors, walls stucco, doors, jams, window sills etc. I spray with "cy-kick". Micro capsule and withstands uv and heat break down for I think 60 days. If it rains or gets water, it tends to wash out but anything will. $60@bug and weed mart

exterior non hard surfaces. Everything else. Gravel, dirt, lawn etc. Buy a 20lb bag of "deltagard" by bayer. Sprinkle it according to direction to cover as much as you can to give the thickest barrier. I usually do a 4 foot band and double or triple the dose. It is water activated, so you have to spray water on it to activate. It is also a micro capsule, kills pretty much everything. It withstands some rain but as it is water activated it will dilute. $50@ bug and weed mart

Interior I also use bayer "suspend sc". It is hospital approved lastv I'm aware of as I'm cautious with my kids, but is also strong and lasting. Spray all entrance/exits and entire border. Also a micro capsule. $60@bug and weed mart

All products here are not contact killing, but a release and lasting products. A little pricey to get started, but the chemical sprays will last all year, especially the interior spray. I've had my for 2 years. Granted I spray and relay the granules on the exterior every month during the summer months, it's still cheaper and more effective than any pest control I have used.

I admit I'm a total pansy about pests especially when it comes to protecting my children.

Ok guys I need a little bit of advice. I need to get 5 tires unmounted, and another 5 tires mounted and balanced. Usually I would go to a Discount tire and be done with it, but they want a sizable chunk of change to do it.

Anyone know of a tire place that can do it (Reliably!) for cheaper than Discount?

...I will never put my Truck in the hands of a Walmart Tech.
