What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I was thinking 40s but to do that i may also have to slightly bang on the pinchweld too hahaha

 

I was being serious. Tub the firewalls and lose the front bumper and you should be good. It's been done. Otherwise your tires are going to look incredibly small

 

Id need someone with a welder to help me tub my fender wells, i dont have a welder to do it myself....
Other that that i really just wanna run 35's

Me too but I don't wanna cut my fenders up...yet...

 

Yea the whole cutting or drilling into a perfectly good body panel kinda makes me cringe a little bit
Thats why i hope these smaller flares cover the holes, i hate the look of these giant flares that came stock on the 01-04 but wouldnt want the holes in my fenders and i may be able to tub my fenderwells and maybe get a 1 or 1.5" bl ontop of my 3" ome lift and then maybe 35" will fit? Idk

 

You MIGHT be able to get away with it, if you don't flex to hard. Wheels offset will help too. The way mine is, I can't go to a bigger tire unless I cut my bumper or get better offset wheels

 

What size wheels you runnin with wha size lift?

 

18x9s 4.5" of backspacing and -11 offset with 3 inches of lift

 

Gotcha i got stock rims and tires now but i havw a set of 16x10 that im mounting a new set of tires to in the upcoming month or so...hopefully, was looking at 285/75r16 id do 35 now but i dont want to have to cut a ton of stuff and i really dont want to have to reagear from my stock 4.10 to 4.88

 

Just an FYI - they're actually fiberglass.

 

My experience has been the opposite. I've found if I am thorough about what I do and what I want and take the time to talk with them about it, they respect that and try a little harder to get me what I ask for.

I also don't mind the waiting involved. I hang around and a few times it has paid off. Unlike Timmy, I actually get invited out into the shop so they can show me what they are doing and why and what I can do to help to get the numbers I want.

Even with aftermarket UCAs, it's hard on our trucks to get more that 3* of caster, which is what I want.
