Like the title says -there was some kind of recall on my 2012 AC that required a reflash of the ECU ...I was getting 20 mpg avg before that ...now I am lucky to get 15mpg average..E-mails to the service advisor at the dealer have not been returned...I dont think they know what to do about it...

any suggestions ? ideas ? etc...

that reflash is for the vsc system that has nothing to do with mpg

Perhaps if he lost 1 or 2 mpg, but 5mpg is a 25 percent drop. I think the answer is in the title, take it back to the dealer.

When you reflash the system, the vehicle has to relearn and adjust fuel/air ratios and such. This takes a little time. When I worked at Hyundai, we had recalls and TSBs requiring reflashes. It was a conversation I've had with customers thousands of times over the years. Shame on them for not telling you what to expect.

Have you noticed higher/lower revving, different accelerator response, shift points, etc?
