I figured a way to get rid of that nasty-as-fuck brown rice....granted, it's not the healthiest way, but, dammit, I can't eat that nasty shit!

I deleted the rice and, instead added in green olives and brought one 12 oz Coke back per day. I know Coke has zero nutritional value, compared to brown rice, but I'm getting ALL of my macro needs, as well as plenty of whole grains, etc.

My significant sources of sugar are:

    2 fiber bars (20g)
    1 oatmeal packet (10g)
    milk (13g)
    banana (14g)
    2 tsp honey (34)
    mini wheats (11g)
    grape ejlly (13g)
    coke (33g)

Everything else is below 5g. If I start crashing or anything, I'll get rid of the honey and replace it with something else

Sugar (all sugar, not just sucrose) makes up 33% (155g) of my carb intake (465g), which I don't think is too terribly bad. It was higher on my cut!

Anyway, off to go do back.

Interesting....I've had some of ol' Uncle Ben's stuff before....I'll check out the rice. Thanks.

I drank a Coke a day for 3-4 months straight and lost 22 lbs. Calories in vs. calories out

I HATE plain oats. I do the instant apple cinnamon oatmeal. So good...so processed :anonymous:

Today was my first workout where I haven't been at a caloric deficit in 3-4 months and it was glorious. No chugging BCAA's, no feelings of tiredness, etc. I'm sure a lot of it was mental, but it was a good workout. God, I missed my carbs :D

    wide-grip pull-ups: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 w/ 1 sec pause at top
    v-grip lat-pulldown: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 @ 160, 175, 175, 190
    one-arm dumbbell row: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 w/ 65, 70, 75, 80 lb dumbbell
    bent-over t bar row: 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6 @ 90, 100, 110, 120
hanging knee raises: 3 sets of 10
decline bench upper ab crunches: 2 sets of 15
25 lb weight twists: 1 set of 25
barbell twists: 1 sets of 25
    weighted crunches: 3 sets of 10 @ 90 lbs

Now, I'm sipping on my 640 calorie shake

Or just throw all that shit into a blender with a scoop of protein powder and BAM! bulking shake

and ditch the coke...haha save that shit for a treat every now and then. I wouldnt worry about adding that into your macros (esp. if you're on a bulk).

Both of these sound good. Next week, when I go food shopping, I'll get plain oats and just mix the banana and honey from my protein shake in with them and I'm sure it'll taste good.

I used to put oatmeal in my bulking shakes, but I've already got so much shit in them now, it's already like cement lol.

Yeah, I feel guilty about the Coke, but, until I find a suitable replacement, I'm subbing it for the rice. Fuck rice!

I have a question, I'm trying to lose weight, but retain muscle definition and have been cutting my calorie intake to 1500 per day. Lately I've been drinking a rolled oats, banana, plain yogurt and milk smoothie in the morning for breakfast, but is the rolled oats counter productive since it's a great bulker and carb?

Nope, but I just looked up the nutritional info on it and holy shit!

1 cup is 625 cals, 24 g protein, 109 g carbs, and 10 g fat....that's like the greatest bulking food ever! I'm definitely gonna be trying that shit!

Cutting at 1500? Are you a natural fat or skinny person? If you're naturally skinny, you need to up that a little. I'm 5'11'' and 180 lbs and I cut down from 200 lbs at around 2300 calories, 200 g protein, 250 g carbs, and 65 g fat. Those are rough estimates. You can bulk or cut on the same stuff, it just depends on your caloric intake

Did not get any sleep 2 nights ago for some reason... Then decided to go do leg day yesterday. Whoever decided squats and DLs should be on the same day can go get fucked. I've never really done full DLs though so I was somewhat proud of myself of repping out 275, even though I have no idea where I really should be there.

Step-up with Knee Raise: 2-3 minutes of cardio warm-up
Barbell Shoulder Press: 1-2 warm-up sets, 4 sets of 9-11 reps, 1 minute of cardio acceleration, option Bench Step-Ups
Standing Alternating Dumbbell Press: 3 sets of 9-11 reps, 1 minute of cardio acceleration, option Kettlebell Swing
Smith Machine One-Arm Upright Row: 3 sets of 9-11 reps, 1 minute of cardio acceleration, option Sprints
Barbell Squat: 4 sets of 9-11 reps, 1 minute of cardio acceleration, option Battling Ropes
Barbell Deadlift: 3 sets of 9-11 reps, 1 minute of cardio acceleration, option Med Ball Slam
Walking Lunge: 3 sets of 9-11 reps, 1 minute of cardio acceleration, option Mountain Climber
Standing Calf Raises: 3 sets of 9-11 reps, 1 minute of cardio acceleration, option Lateral Bound
Seated Calf Raise: 3 sets of 9-11 reps, 1 minute of cardio acceleration, option Skipping (in place)
