My girlfriend says size doesn't matter .

It's not the size of the boat , it's the motion in the ocean .

    Sorry for your loss.
And LB all day. Short beds are for hobbits.

Maybe 40 lb less, but the wieght should be centered over the rear axle if not a little forward of it. Good luck with the short bed. Axle is up against the cab.

    This ^^

But with a tool box in the be the short bed would be very tight. works great with the LB

My unpopular opinion? It absolutely doesn't matter in a Tacoma. These are toy trucks, they are not haulers, they are not generally used as work trucks. You aren't really going to limit your sales audience with a short bed, as most Tacoma owners are posers anyway. A short bed fit's a mountain bike and a snowboard just fine. Honestly, 95% of Tacoma owners could easily do everything they currently do with a Highlander but a truck is much cooler to own.

Okay, I wish the Off Road package could be had with the normal sized bed.

A Highlander costs more, I can't throw bloody deer and turkey in the back, and it's not as capable off road!

Anyone who hunts, fishes, or owns a home has a lot of use for the truck bed over owning an SUV. Just because we don't haul/tow heavy stuff on a daily basis, doesn't mean you could get buy with an SUV or only have a truck because it's "cool".

Out here in CA, there is no one single model or configuration that has higher resale value than the other, plain & simple. The cheapest version (5-lug, 2.7, manual-everything) still sells for an insane amount of money. This question is really hard to answer, because there really isn't a single Tacoma configuration that loses value.

If people are saying long bed has a higher resale value than a shortbed, they are simply stating personal opinion. I just sold a 2010 Tacoma, DC, Shortbed, PreRunner to CarMax, and got exactly what I paid for it. They were just all giddy like a school girl *literally* because it was a T A C O M A. lol.

Too lazy to change a meme to be worded correctly in support of my argument. Or i was talking to myself again. Not sure.
