    got a ton of fender flare clips coming from china, just got new fender moulding from toyota, next Ill be ripping the flares off and having them bedlined. My rattle can idea worked great, but got desert pin stripes wayyyy to easy.

    Since you are a performance loving individual, i thought i'd tell you i'm about to pull the trigger on the AFE Mach Force XP stainless 2.5" cat back. Do you have any opinions on the matter? Its $287 shipped from auto anything with discounts included. I figure i can't go wrong with that, i just want louder for now, and to do it on the cheap :eek:

    Someday i'll do the whole headers and y-pipe shabangabang

    Id say measure ur stock piping and see if its 2.5 or 2.25 already.

    If ur not gaining any diameter, is it worth the cost of an entire catback vs a muffler?

    the only reason I have a catback is because its 3".................. But 3" is overkill for a non super/turbo charged application

    I don't want to lose any low end torque by going up to the 3"

    I don't want to weld a muffler in because my stock exhaust is getting old at 7 years this coming august. I like the idea of the stainless outlasting my stock setup. Then later down the road doing some sort of headers and y-pipe set up would marry the whole system as pretty much new. I have no plans for supercharger or turbos, i'm far to ignorant and cheap for those goodies. :eek:

    then it sounds like u have done your homework and I have to agree on the points you made.
    GO for it, it should last you a long time and get you the sound you want without costing you any tq :)

    Trust me, I made the mistake myself of going 3" without a blower and it SUCKED! So good call

    On boosted vehicles, larger exhaust makes more since because there is no low end torque....everything is boost dependent and boost doesn't build without spool of rpm
