An SEC team has made the top 2 every year since 2007, and you don't think a single SEC team will make the top 4 this year? I'd bet my ham sammich that the SEC Champ is one of the four.

SC won the east in 2010, before getting curb-stomped by Cam Newton and company. Never won the SEC, though, if my sources are correct.

I just had a big reply written out and it disappeared when I tried to past it.

The gist of it was that most questions in the SEC are at QB. But, I don't think that will hurt too much in sec play because SEC football is built on a power running game and a good defense. If they have a "game manager" under center who can make a throw when he has to, you'll see at least 1 sec team in the playoffs. UGA, Bama, auburn, SC all have a stable of good to great backs. If the defense is up to par, they've got a shot, even with an inexperienced QB.

Quite frankly, Alabama has been in the limelight with two qb's who all they had to do was NOT screw up. Greg McIlroy just had to receive the snap, and hand it off. eeeeeevery now and then he'd have to toss a screen pass to Julio Jones, (I could do that) or a deep ball and let Julio Jones go get it. Kinda the same story with AJ, however he was there longer. Basically Alabama just needs someone who wont fumble snaps. (It will probably happen on the first play this year...lol.)

Auburn has had a ton of time to set their offense. Could be scary. Freaky-scary.

The Ol Ball Coach has been flappin those gums a whole lot more this year comparatively, or he has been getting more media coverage...but I'm guessing he has something up his sleeve.

LSU has been quietly recruiting studs for that last 2 or 3 years, not many, but skilled positions. And Les Miles has been relatively quiet...weird.

Florida is on a small rebound...no worries there.

Tennessee could see a large improvement. Quite a few top recruits. Jones seems to be humble, and doing things the right way.

Texas A&M very well may be sneaky dangerous. I think the loss of Johnny Manziel will be bigger than most expect. That's just me. I think Sumlin is a smart coach and he can plan for that change well.

Missouri I feel will drop this year. Hopefully they don't implode.

Ole Miss possibly has the best receivers in the nation. Yes, you read that correctly. Unfortunately Bo Wallace is mediocre at best, unless he has his 'once a year, career game' against you.

Georgia, Georgia, Georgia. Could this be the year they finally clear the hurdle and own the east? Could this be the year they win the SEC? Me personally, I say no. New QB, Great RB, but I don't think Richt can just get it locked together. The same could be said for Alabama, but in my opinion, Saban is better organized at syncing a team together, even though he didn't get it done last year. Hopefully the offense can stay healthy for Georgia.

Vanderbuilt....well they got dumped, by a really good coach.

    Arky....well....there is always next year....

Miss St. will improve a bit. I see them in 3rd in the west.
The SEC will be more interesting to watch this year because of all of the new faces, new story lines, and hopefully some new bitter rivalries.

I'll just leave these thoughts down here......

    Will UCLA win the PAC?

Who will humble Urban Meyer this year in the B1G?

    Will Clemson bounce back?

    Will Navy Beat Notre Dame?

Gonna have to agree with the Auburn thing. I think they're gonna do very well again this season

This was basically the rest of my long reply I had typed out. Proving my point that QB play doesn't have to be spectacular to win in the SEC.

Auburn, Ole Miss, MSU, Florida don't have major questions. Auburn is the only one that has made major noise recently but Ole Miss and MSU both have a bunch of returning players and young talent. Florida had one down year due to injuries and unproven talent. Those are the only four that I can think of that didn't suffer major losses in terms of depth.
