I have a problem and I'm hoping my Tacoma friends can help me.

The wheel fell off my portable Coleman grill and I don't know what hardware solution exists to fix it. I'm sure it's an easy one but please point me in the right direction. Welding would make sense but I don't have access to one.

The bolt goes through the wheel, into the hole but there is nothing on the other side to thread into. It's just a thin piece of metal so I'll need something on the other side - like those drywall anchors.

How can I reattach this wheel?

    Thank you in advance.

The best thing I can think of off the top of my head is JB weld, but maybe someone else has another idea? :notsure:

    This is what you need:

It works just like a drywall anchor ....insert into hole, compress and you've got a threaded insert ready for the bolt.... Available at your local Harbor Freight or Homer Depot....It's called a "nutsert" or a "rivnut" real simple to do...
    Hope this helps....

why not drill through the wheel and install a longer bolt with a nutt and add a couple washers to take up any thrust loading ?

    Not sure what you mean?

The problem is hole in the bar that the bolt goes into. There is nothing but a thin piece of metal there. I can't get to the other side of the metal to add a nut.
