Anyone know where to grab one of those devil horn Toyota emblems for cheap? The ones I've been seeing cost around 80$, which seems a bit ridiculous for an emblem...

I want to take the mudflaps off, but I'm looking to get the Flowmaster dual exhaust system with the series 40 muffler and don't know if not having flaps will cause more damage from thrown rocks or anything. Help anyone?:confused::confused:

I kinda wish I had mud flaps.. My rocker panel is getting destroyed by rocks.. Debating on making my own rubber ones.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately I just think it looks a lot better without them. Oh, and I really like your truck too. :p

I agree they look better off but idk if it is worth having chips along your rocker panel. I will post a pic of what mine look like after about a year with larger tires that like to bash the side of my truck with rocks lol. Thanks bud I like your rig as well! Keep it up :p

You're welcome, and thanks! I'm curious to see it. Oh and I see your profile says in school in Kansas, would you happen to be at Kansas University?

So I've been shopping around for a new muffler/exhaust system, and something that caught my eye was the Flowmaster Dual cat-back exhaust hooked up to their 40series muffler. Can anybody give me a hand in this? I'm looking for something not outrageously expensive, that still gives my truck a nice low growl to it. Any input is much appreciated! Thanks!

That cat back was pricey iirc, look up the AFE Mach Force XP 2.5" . that exhaust is pretty nice and quality and a good price. If you go on to autoanything.com, you may be able to get it discounted by online chatting a person and asking for the 20% discount on your cart. Also the flowmaster may drone a bit at certain speeds

No but not too far away. At Benedictine College about 40 minutes north of Kansas City.

I just swapped my muffler with a Spintech for about $90. Not sure if its the exact sound your going for but just to give you an option: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/330602-spintech-super-pro-street-9000-muffler.html

That was another one that I had my eyes on, do you have a video or anything of the type of sound it produces?

Still pretty close to where I'm looking at going, and WOW that sounds amazing, that's pretty much the sound I was looking for! What exhaust are you using with it?

I ended up pocketing the whole amount because his dad's a lawyer and said that unless I could prove that they were the ones who tore them up, they didn't have to pay. I went with my parents to go talk to a friend who's the DA of our town and he said the same because I had not witness to it, nor sufficient proof. Luckily though, my dad agreed to cover the first 150 cause he knew it wasn't me because he had driven it the week before.:(

Thanks, and I'm not quite sure, I've been to KU's campus and love it, definitely would be weird though moving from high desert and mountains to a place like Kansas. I'll figure it out after I visit ASU this fall.
